Perfect for a Night in NYC
Stayed here with some friends for my birthday. We got a suite which was huge, we fit about 5 people. Beds were so comfortable and the room was immaculate. Love the decor. Best part was the free continental breakfast, very generous.

Very generous with what they offer
The breakfasts and complimentary wine and cheese each evening were superb. Owing to torrential rain on the day of our daughter's wedding the manager of the hotel assisted to have the venu changed at the last minute to a conservatory in the sister hotel The Library. Top marks for their courtesy and assistance to make the day very special -probably better than the original venu in Central Park. Particular thanks to Emily the hotel manager of the Giraffe.

Close to business and pleasure
Absolutely first class in every way. Understated elegance without the gawdy glitz of larger chains.Loved being out of the normal tourist hangouts. Trip was for business, but enjoyed extra time exploring. Staff very attentive and courteous without being obnoxious.

Fantastic!!!!
What a great experience. Would definitely recommend. Great rooms - especially for New York! Great staff. Best of both worlds - boutique hotel with service of a big hotel. Super breakfast and happy hour - included. We loved the location, but not for someone who expects to be in or near Time Square. Would definitely return. Near subway stop, top restaurants.

Hotel Giraffe, a NY treasure
From the time we arrived to the time we left- a 4 day sleep-over-the staff was friendly, courteous, helpful (restaurant recommendations and reservations which for us was the best for moderate dinning( and never at any time was there any attitude or negative vibes. Our car was taken away while we were visiting and when we left this morning at 6 AM, our car was parked outside and the staff took our luggage to the car in the pouring rain and made sure we took some coffee and fruit for our return trip. At that hour the kitchen was not yet open. We were given a very complementary healthy breakfast and late afternoon were served wine and cheese on the house. When thinking if we had to go outside the hotel to pay for this, you have to know that it definitely brings the cost of the hotel down. The staff who served us really made us feel cherished.

WOW!!!
We did not want to leave the Giraffe. The ambiance and furnishings made this hotel feel like home. We encountered 10 staff personnel during our two day visit and found them to be not only courteous but also knowledgeable and helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

Not 4 stars, but 3
Very nice hotel, let's start with the good: The best continental breakfast I've seen at a hotel where it's included in the price. Fresh fruit, bagels, muffins, coffee including espresso and lattes, and more. Very impressive. Lovely wine and cheese spread each night - with lots of selections. Impeccable turn-down service every night. Now, for the not so good. This hotel is 12 floors, and the top floor is a restaurant/lounge that is apparently rented out for private events most weekends. We requested the highest floor and therefore could hear the music and the MC on a microphone during the entire event(s). Our hotel room was left unlocked and ajar one afternoon following the maid service. Luckily nothing was taken. The water pressure in the shower was intermittent, the water kept shutting off during the shower and then coming back on at boiling hot temperatures. There is NO FAN in the bathroom so prepare to steam up your entire hotel room every time you take a shower.
