The Holiday Inn on west 57th st in N.Y.C. was wonderful. It was only 3 blockes from Central Park plus not too far a walk from times square and broadway. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff was pleasant.

Very good tourist service
Staff at front desk very friendly, location was ok, very well connected by subway and bus lines. Rooms were clean and with enough space. They helped very much to get tickets for the theater and sports. I recommend this hotel.

Great location
This was our first time to stay overnight in New York City, and I would recommend this hotel to anyone I know who is traveling there. My husband and kids were with me, and they enjoyed the outdoor pool (very hard to find in NYC). The stff was helpful, and the location was great (only a few blocks to Central Park and the Columbus Circle subway). The room was clean (the carpet in our room was a bit faded, but I have nothing else to complain of). Be advised that parking is not included in the room rate, but is extra (that was a bit of a surprise). Have a great trip to NYC!

Great Hotel-Location and comfort!
For a new york city hotel we were pleasantly surprised when we entered our spacious hotel room. The location was superb close enough to a main subway station and in a great nyc neighbourhood. The value was incredible. Would recommend this to anyone and would go again.

Good value for New York City
This Holiday Inn was a great value for New York City. Our family of 5 was in the City for 2 days and the location was very convenient - a little off the main drag, but not too far and still a very comfortable walking distance from 5th Avenue and other Mid-town attractions. It was nice not to be on a main avenue. There is a subway station down the block and Columbus Circle and Central Park are close by. The rooms were very clean and neat and a comfortable size. We only had breakfast at the hotel, but the service was very good and the food was too. Comfortable and sufficient. I would stay here again.

A great value in Midtown
I was upgraded to a room with two single beds, which was by far the largest room I have had in NYC. The hotel staff was friendly, and I checked in and out without a problem. The location was only a block west of the heart of midtown, and I was close to the subway. Since I like to lift weights, I was very pleasantly surprised to learn that a full gym was located in the hotel, and was free to use. The hotel looks a bit dated, and the elevators are frequently packed, but I thouroughly enjoyed my stay.

Convenient & easy
My teenage children and I spent 24 hours in NYC, and took in some Broadway plays, Central Park, and good food. Of course, Virgin records was included on the tour. Holiday Inn Midtown was in a great location that did not break the bank (unlike most of the other NYC activities.) It was an easy walk to Times Square, Central Park, and the plays. The hotel staff were accommodating (we checked our bags after check out while we went to a matin?e before leaving the following evening). A nice family hotel.

Dining tip:
Short drive from hotel
Had dinner at Chin Chin's, a nice Chinese restaurant across town. We did have to take a cab, but it was great, and worth the ride.
