Good price, good location
This is our third stay and that says enough. Given all the options in NYC, staying three times makes it clear we think it is a good hotel.

A one nighter
If your just going to the city for the night or two, and know that you're not going to be in the hotel this is a great place to stay! It's comfy yet cramped in the rooms, but that's the city.

A decent stay in town
The room was larger than expected, while still small. decent soundproofing and a good location make this place a decent deal if you need a place to crash.

Good Weekend Stay!
Ours was a quick weekend stay. Booked online, needed to add pet stay, called, was advised no issue, note added to reservation - really expecting worst when I checked in as traveling with pets can be such a pain when it comes to the rules upon arrival- We arrived early, a room was had for early check in so BIG PLUS and, as promised, NO ISSUES about pet. Room was uber clean but tight on space (it's NY so it's not like you are paying to stay in the room!) staff was professional and went out of their way to accomodate all needs and questions. I would stay here again on future trips. Access to all subway lines was easily had within walking distance. Dog park nearby was also very good and clean (very well maintained by city or neighborhood association) Good food & drinks within a block radius of the hotel that were very budget friendly. The only negative about the stay is that there are only two elevators at the hotel and during peak hours, you will wait for a few minutes to catch a ride. Small price to pay considering the offset of all the other positives.

Great value, comfy/quiet room, outdoor dining/work area.
The Holiday Inn NYC - MANHATTAN 6TH AVE was a pleasant surprise. Quiet side street, staff was welcoming, room was a KING with about 3ft on each side of bed (comfy), free in-room hardwire/wifi internet, coffee maker, full bath/shower and VERY quiet location. Staff was very helpful, CVS and subway just around corner. Lots of cab options. Entrance is set back about 30ft and is used for outdoor dining. I also was encouraged to use the space to read or work while logged into WiFi. Biz center was small with two computer terminals and a full paper stocked small laser printer. I had no issues connecting my laptop to printer and printing out needed docs. Highly recommended.

NoMad restaurant was spectacular, GREAT service and delicious food. Saw Bobby Flay and Anne Burrell in the Library bar (highly recommended). Pricey, so for special nights and make an early reservation. We were seated at 5:45 and left at 9pm. No pressure to "turn a table".

2nd time in NYC
Family of three
Our experience was very positive. The staff was great and very responsive. Rooms are a little small for someone who wants to hang out inside the room which we did not. Continental breakfast would have been a sweet addition to the stay. We stayed on the 21st floor and had a great view of the Empire State building. Located within two blocks of the #1 train which was very nice for travel both up and down town.

Short walk from hotel
Go ahead and buy the 7-day pass for the metro. At $2.25 per ride/person it adds up quickly.
