Perfect Location
I stayed here two weeks in a row. Great views of the city both times. The rooms have steam heat so if you plan to stay here make sure you are in room thats quiet enough for you. That being said, I plan to stay here again.

Wonderful Hotel
This is a great hotel. I would stay there again. This is NYC. Clean and great location. Others have wrote putting this hotel down. Could it be better... yes, but its a great value for the location. You can't compare a -$200.00 hotel with a +$400.00.

Good location if you don't need amenities
Overall, the hotel wasn't horrible. Considering the price, it was a decent value. My boyfriend and I took this vacation around Christmas time to shop and see the Christmas decorations in the city. This was by far the best value hotel we could find without staying in a hostel. The location was good. It was reasonably cheap to take a cab to Broadway/Times Square and Central Park. The Empire State Building and Macy's are just a 5 minute walk from the hotel. My only real complaint other than the hotel being really basic was the shower. There was little to no hot water. However, the bed was comfortable and if you are looking for a hotel just for a place to sleep, then I would recommend it. The staff was nice and the hotel seemed very secure. Also no bed bugs!

Great Location
We travel alot for business purposes, and almost always stay at Herald Square because of the location and value. Not to mention the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms.

It's OK
You get what you pay for: No frills hotel, clean & small rooms, good location. Perfectly fine for adults who don't expect a lot of amenities. I wasn't pleased when they gave me a final bill that was $100 per night higher than the booking reservation rate, and it took a while to work it out. I trust this was a one-time glitch, as I've stayed there before without similar problems.

Great Room, Great Location!
My only complaint about this hotel was the shower head and the inconsistent water temperature. A small price to pay for a reasonable rate in midtown! Would definately stay again!

So Over-pricing
I spent over $250 a nite for such a terrible place. The bathroom needs renovation right away. Will never come back again unless it's cheaper than $100. Location is good though, only 2 blocks away from penn station & empire state building.

Great location and BED
A great family weekend trip, great location to subway and lots of restaurants around. The room is very clean and the bed is prefect! Even the room is a little bit small, but still ok. Only complaint is the water pressure isn't very good, we are on third floor.
