Good financial district hotel
Nice place to stay in the financial district. Only an 8 minute walk to Wall St. Was under construction and the fitness center only contains one treadmill which was broken and a bike. But other then that it was convenient and comfortable

We chose this hotel for the price and location and we were very happy with both. The staff was great with information including getting a pizza delivered (perfect NY style thin crust). The room was fresh and clean and even though there was a small amount of traffic sound, there really wasn't much traffic. Some areas of the city are much louder. This is a short walk to the seaport and to subways. Throw in the hot breakfast and half price parking and it was even a better deal than I thought. We will definitely stay here again! The only thing we would have liked is a refrigerator in the room, but there was ice available and vending machines.

The seaport has a variety of restaurants, in any weather you can sit inside or outside and watch the boats go by. The views are great and don't cost anything.

Good deal
Overall we had a very good experience at this hotel - the reception staff were superb and went above and beyond to be helpful. Room was nice enough, very clean, very comfy bed, large bathroom. The lights were a little bright and sterile and our room faced on to Pearl Street so there was quite a bit of noise (honking, sirens, traffic) and I think the doors/walls of the rooms were also quite thin because we heard a lot of what was going in the hallway outside as well (though I don't think noise traveled as much between rooms). Breakfast is basic but there's plenty of places in the area to grab a quick bite to eat. Would definitely stay here again.

Squires Diner across the street and around the corner has a pretty good, standard and decently-priced diner grub. Nothing extraordinary but reliable.

Great place to stay.
Room was clean and as advertised. Breakfast was really a surprise with waffles available, as well as meats and eggs. Staff seemed eager to please and was very attentive and helpful. Great lodging at a competetive price. Will plan on staying there again on our next trip to New York City

Got a room in the basement. A lot of noise all night long from machines operating in the same basement.

Small small room
Figured the room would be small but wow... closet. Area not the best, but we needed to be near Battery Park. Small room, but other than that a standard Hampton Inn in a so so location. Was the least expensive in the area for the trip so that was a plus.

Hampton Inn and Suites NYC
I attended meetings an Charity event in the area for the purpose of the trip. When I arrived at the Hotel, I was a little nervous, because the outside appearance was not the typical Hampton Inn. The lobby was small, but clean. Like many Hampton Inns, they still allow smoking floors, and I could smell it in the elevator. I wish they would become smokeless. The room was small, but comfortable. Like most large cities {NYC, LOndon, Paris), the rooms are small. The most surprising aspect of the room was the very large patio, with an unbelievable view of NYC and Seaport. WOW!!!! For the price, I was knocked off my feet. The second day of my visit was sunny, and I was able to sit and enjoy the view. I felt like I was in a penthouse suite with the location and view. [...]

Wonderful Vacation
Book a room for a Valentine's Day weekend trip. To our surprise the room was ready before 3pm. Room was very clean. Linen was clean, bathroom was outstanding. Breakfast was excellent. Hotel is very convenient to all Manhattan attractions. Most within walking distance, or a quick subway ride.

Wonderful!! Great Staff!!!
The staff here is incredibly friendly and helpful! They answered all questions we had about food, directions, and everything else. We had an early flight home, and the hotel arranged a taxi to pick us up and take us to La Guardia. Our room was very nice and clean, and we weren't walking all over the hotel to find it. The complimentary breakfast was very good (although personally I was somewhat disappointed by the lack of pastries but I also have an extreme fondness for pastries). The Brooklyn Bridge subway is very close - a ten/fifteen minute walk, which is a definite plus for anyone who wants to sight-see in midtown. All in all, I would definitely recommend this hotel and eagerly return on my next trip to New York City!

Short walk from hotel
South on Pearl Street a couple blocks and east on Fulton there's a shopping mall full of all kinds of interesting shops as well as a food court and a few restaurants right on the harbor, which is really interesting. We were there during the week before Christmas and there was a big tree set up as well as carolers. Also, the 9/11 memorial site and preview museum, Staten Island Ferry, and Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island ferry all are within walking distance.
