Easy midtown choice
Staff was great. Loved the "market" in the hotel which served good food and other basics 24hrs. Bed was comfortable. Good corporate hotel or if you have an event.

Gonzo the Great
Great Location
Right next to Grand Central Terminal, can't be beat. Stayed here while attending the US Open. Easy access to the #7 train which is great when arriving back in Manhattan late at night.

Good Place
The hotel' s location cannot better anyway and it's worth the price. The room is comfortable and big enought for traveller especially in NYC. This is my second time to stay there while in NYC

Thelma on the road...
Great Location,
The location was great! I was within walking distance to Times Square and several great attractions. Unfortunately, the hotel was under renovations and there was several issues with the water pressure and discoloration.The level of customer service was somewhat disappointing. The hotel is shifting towards an automated check-in service, which is probably incredibly efficient and sufficient if you are familiar with the city and the hotel but if you are looking for a personable experience try another hotel. Oh and don't bother with over priced coffee, there's a Starbucks downstairs in Grand Central Terminal.

Not enough for the money
I can't believe this had a 4 star rating. It was average at beat,smelled like smoke and had a tiny bathroom. Jack hammers in the morning and the cleaning lady came in twice and finally I got out to let her come in and 3 hourds later still dirty. I had to leave again. Not even close to what I am used to. It was more like a Holiday Inn. The lobby makes you think the room will be special. One good thing is it is close to Grand Central so transporatation is easy.

A true all-rounder very recommendable
It was an excellent choice all round. From the moment I arrived until I left I was happy. It's an ideal location to all amenities in Manhattan. The staff were super-friendly and couldn't do enough to help. Room was always maintained in an impeccable fashion and the maids were so friendly. When I requested a quiet room I got one and the bed was very comfortable. I will definitely be returning to this hotel if I can get the money together for next year.

Shopping tip:
Short walk from hotel
I love to walk everywhere in N.Y and combine my shopping with an exercise regime. As well as it being the best way to get to know New York. Go to Union Square on 14th St. Just a brisk 15 mins from the hotel - you can have your breakfast in Wholefoods.
