Great price for location and what you get

Very nice hotel. Pool and bar on rooftop are nice. About a 20 min walk to Times Square. My non-smoking room smelled like smoke when I got there which I didn't like but great staff and had a nice time.

Fine hotel, almost perfect

This was our first five-star hotel and in almost every respect the rating is deserved. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The staff was attentive and helpful. Bedding and towels and robes of high quality. The top floor had a bar, a pool, and a wonderful view. The only drawback was the bar was frequented by the coolest and the music was the loudest. So unless you were thirty-something, dressed in skin-tight clothes, and didn't care to hear the conversations of your friends, this was not your spot. Hotel guests could take a drink out to the much quieter pool area, but were asked to leave at 11 pm. We are not yet old enough to retire at 11. The location is near good restaurants, the Chelsea arts district, and the L train The bar could be quieter, the prices a bit lower, but in every other respect this is a five-star hotel.

great hotel - great location

The hotel is in a great location in the Meat Packing district - very lively with lots of restaurants, bars and high end shops in the area. The staff and the hotel were all very helpful and the room service for breakfast each morning was promptly delivered. The decor was modern and my room was quiet, elegant and in good condition. The free wifi in my room and throughout the hotel was also a bonus. I enjoyed the fitness center which was small but adequate. The bar on the roof has a spectacular view and attracts a trendy crowd as well as tourists. My only mild complaint was the 'canned' music that they had playing in the bar, restaurant and lobby all the time. I would highly recommend this hotel!
