Worth the extra money
This was our first time staying overnight in New York City and as such we were unsure of what to expect. I can say with certainty that the Flatiron hotel was more than we could've expected. It's convenient location made travel within the city a breeze, its an easy walk to many popular locations and has convenient access to several subway stations for longer distances within the city. The room itself had a lot of fancy gadgets like electric curtains and a television in the bathroom which were icing on the cake for my girlfriend and myself. The staff at the Flatiron were more than welcoming and made every attempt to help us enjoy our stay in the city. The room was very clean, the bathroom immaculate and the shower was to die for. Plenty of hot water, pressure, and there were 6 jets in the wall in addition to the one in the ceiling. My girlfriend suffers from nerve damage in her hips and lower back, but said the shower alleviated all discomfort almost instantly. We had read several reviews about the noisy nightclub in the lobby, and we stayed on the fourth floor and were unable to hear any noise at all once our door was closed and barely any noise in the hallway itself. The neighborhood was nice and quiet at night also, nothing to disturb us while we slept, and we're light sleepers so that was a blessing to find.

Little disappointing
The free in room internet was down for my two day stay. I was charged for using the mini bar which I didn't even touch (they kindly gave me a refund. The bathroom and shower were quite cramped. Location however was convenient.

Long weekend
Expected the hotel to have a concierge to assist with info and was disappointed. TV had a lot of inerference and the automatic drapes did not work properly. Room snacks were pressure sensitive and we were charged for snacks not taken, (the clerk appoligized and removed it from our bill. I expected more for the price.

good times NYC
I thought this was a great little hotel, not too big so kept that personal touch, the staff remembered who we were and couldn’t do enough for us. The hotel bar was always busy and something happening every night, live music, comedy etc

Great little hotel
First time staying at the Flatiron - the location was perfect for my work so a short walk and lots of choices for food - I stayed in a Queen room and was big enough for me - I liked the high tech around the room like electric curtains - special lighting - the bathroom had a TV built into the mirror - very cool - very nicely done and would stay there again
