Great staff and products, TINY room
Traveling through the city for the weekend and happened upon Duane street . The location was excellent, the staff were awesome as well. The room was very nice - but very small - even by NYC standards - reminded me very much of a college dorm room. I was busy doing things and didnt spend that much in the room because if your in New York, you should be out and about!

Perfect Fit
This was my second visit to the Duane Street Hotel and what a delight to see the same faces! Their friendly and personal service is wonderful. I love the room for the style and quality of each element. And the location is perfect. I'll be back!

Some ugly
The room was very small, really too small for 2 people and probably too small for even a single. There was no closet, no place to set a suitcase and a bathroom that is so small that whenever you move, you knock something over. There was no tub and no door on the shower because there was no room for a door. There was no place to conveniently plug in a laptop. The housekeeping was untrained, one night we didn't get otwels and anothe night we didn't get any toilet paper. While a restaurant/bar is advertised, it doesn't operate except gfor breakfast. The only good thing was that the bed was very comfortable.

Great Location, Clean Room
Great location, blocks from WTC site. Room is small but comfortable, stylish, and clean. Bed was very comfortable. Everything is new in the room. I was on the top floor (5th I think) but the street noise was still pretty loud. If you're a light sleeper this may not be the place for you.

Good Area for Business Travellers
The room was stated as a Superior with King size bed. The room was too small for that size bed and the bed frame extended out so you were alwasy hitting the corners with feet or shin. Bed took up 85% of the room space. No room to store luggage. No bath, only a standup shower that had no door to close. Staff is friendly and helpful, but Lobby area was so small two people could not stand at the desk because no one could pass by to get to the elevator. It is close to subways so travel is easy and quick. Nice restaurants in the area and Little italy and Chinatown are only a short walk.
