This is hands-down the best hotel experience I've had in sometime. They checked me in quickly, the clerk was super friendly, and the room is super cool. The sink is a link odd, but other than that, really awesome experience!!

Great Location/Pool

Very cool hotel with great pool. The suites adjoining the pool are terrific. Only downside is the noise at night, even in the rooms and the fact that there are tons of drunk and messy people in the hotel at night.

trendy yet considerate

If it weren't for the good deal, I would have never stayed here. Dream Downtown is perfect for business in the front and party in the back kind of stay. Since it is a trendy hotel in a great location, a celeb spotting or two can't be missed. Be careful not to stay on the second or third floor if you plan on sleeping as the bass from the club below will surely keep you up. Staff was accommodating and professional. They moved me to a quieter floor the following night. I would not recommend this place if you want to avoid throngs of scenesters.

Will stay here again...great time, wonderful location

Rooms are a little small, and didn't like having to use the room card key to also use the elevator....those cards are tempermental. Otherwise, loved everything else, for sure will stay there again. The most wonderful view of the city skyline from the roof top bar!

Disappointed

Front desk was extremely rude, and not at all helpful in fixing a booking mistake (on their side). Decor was geared more towards dreamy than functional. Location was perfect, and the lounge upstairs was fun... I will not be staying here next time. There are better places very close that actually treat you like a customer.

Great hotel, but also loud party place too

Location was perfect right in between Chelsea & Meat Packing District. Room was great with (Gold Level) view of skyline, sink was more form over function and odd. Staff was nice and helpful though I could sense a few questions of the concierge made him not enjoy my presence. On the 9th floor could hear music late in the night probably from the club next door. Marble Lane was awesome!

Fun hotel , fab design, no multilingual staff , very crowded

The Dream Downtown is a wonderful design fun hotel, NOT for families or kids. If you want a quiet stay don't stay here. The lobby is very crowded all the time (though the crowd are models and young good looking people) same as elevators, common areas. The front desk people are very nice but they don't speak another language that is not english, for my parents it was a NIGHTMARE to ask them anything, also room service people and house keeping only speak korean or english. Their restaurant Marble Lane is pretty good, also their Phd rooftop bar. Bronze rooms are soooooooo tiny , more tiny than in Paris , overpriced for what they offer. Silver rooms have a more decent size. Bath products are from ETRO, that a plus. Location is perfect between Chelsea and the Meatpacking. Overall it was a good stay because I like this type of hotels but my parents didnt like it as much.
