Great base to explore the city
We needed a hotel near our daughter, who lives on the Upper East Side. Close to subway, lots of nice restaurants nearby. Clean rooms, and friendly staff.

Great Stay!
The rooms are clean, a very friendly staff and a decent view. We had a trouble with our toilet but they fix it quickly! The hotel is not as nice as they show it in pictures, but it wasn’t bad at all! The location was the plus! A good place for your money in such a beautiful but expensive city!

Great Uptown Location
We stayed one night and the location was perfect for us. They offered valet parking, but I was able to park on the street a few blocks away. Our room had all the amenities, such as small refrigerator, coffee maker with all the fixings, TV (with game controller), hair dryer, toiletries, etc. The room was smaller than other standard hotel rooms, but we had a slice of a view of the East River. Coffee and teas were also available on the lower level 24 hours. I was surprised that the exercise room was large with plenty of new clean equipment, TVs, towels, and water. There was also a small pool adjacent to the exercise room (I didn't use the pool, but it looked inviting). I thought that the room rate was very reasonable for NYC, less than we paid outside the city in Philadelphia. The desk staff was helpful when needed.

Solid Average Hotel
This is a standard Marriott in the upper east side of the city. It is about a 10 minute walk from the green line on Lexington Ave. The hotel is not near the action of NYC, but you transportation options are not that far away. The rooms are small, but probably average in size for NYC. In short, if you have business in this area of the city or are willing to spend some time on a subway or bus, this is a good choice. I didn't use the restaurant. Parking down the street is $35 per night, valet at the hotel is $55.

Average with Friendly Service
The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The rooms are small and my air ran 24 hours a day. The refrigerator cabinet was locked but when I called to ask about it, without inquiring, they sent up another for me to use during the week. The elevators are VERY slow and were broke one of the days which meant hoofing it down 15 flights of stairs. The location is fine, but a bit of a walk to the nearest subway and bus.

quick trip
We were sooo thrilled to fall into the nice mattresses after a 10 hour plane ride. the room was clean and bright. Real coffee was always available. After two weeks with instant, that was great. the staff could not have been more helpful. their recommendations for dining were good. the location is within walking distance of central park and the museums (even for me at 67). I would definitely stay there again.

it could be cleaner
Room wasn't clean. Towels are very old and do not look white anymore. The first night was particularly bad: fridge was missing! They brought one the next day. Also, I woke up very thirsty as I was jetlagged and unfortunately there was no drinking water in the room. It turns out they never provide water.

Perfect!
The location is the first reason that I chose this hotel. It is just 20 minutes' driving to 5th Ave and other interesting places for a tourist like me. And there is a parking garage just beside the hotel which is nearer than the self parking lot of the hotel and its price is reasonable. The room is also clean and comfortable.
