Hotelier Jeff Klein has remained ardently committed to preserving the relaxed privacy of the buildings former incarnation as a gentlemens club and private sanctuary for the citys power brokers. Dating from 1904, and nestled on the New York Citys Club Row. The seven-story, 65 room hotels discrete, elegant façade is in harmony with prestigious neighbors like the New York Yacht, Harvard and Penn Clubs. The intimate duplex lobby that incorporates a mezzanine guest lounge furthers the hotels twin themes of discretion and luxury.
The hotels interior designer, Jeffrey Bilhuber, regards the City Club as an important step in the evolution of his New American Classicism, a seductive mix of classic materials and simple forms utilized in a refreshing and inspired manner. The blend of familiar and innovative appeals to modernists and traditionalists alike, creating a continuity of style while nurturing a modern tradition.
Bilhubers emphasis on comfort and luxury is evident in every facet of the hotel, whose handsome guest rooms feature wall coverings simulating hand drawn plaster, Honduran mahogany, Frette bed linens, and down feather beds. The City Club Hotel also offers three Grand Duplex suites, each with their own private terrace. All accommodations contain voluminous chocolate marble and chrome bathrooms offering CO Bigelow bath products.

Nice Stay
Very convenient for walking--I felt safe walking up to Times Square--3 to 4 blocks away. Staff was very helpful. Would not recommend the petite room--spend a couple extra bucks to breath. could not imagine the room being any smaller!

Great midtown boutique hotel
Convenient, clean, charming, cozy. Nice quiet room with large bathroom. Staff was lovely and quite helpful and accommodating. Would certainly stay here again.

Very nice stay at City Club
We were in town for one night and wanted to stay in the thick of things. City Club location was perfect. The feel was boutique. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. The room was comfortable. Great bed. Large beautiful bathroom. Too small for a long stay due to limited storage but perfect for our needs. I would return and recommend.

I stayed with a special rate through
I stayed with a special rate through hotelclub for one night at the City Club Hotel. I was upgraded from a petit room to a queen room which was complimentary. This is a small extremely well updated hotel next the the Algonquin on 44th St. A perfect location for a visitor or business person. The room was appointed with high quality items and very well designed to make maximum use of space. I had to spend quite some time there as I was working, and I did not feel uncomfortable. The rack rates were a lot higher, but if I am offered a deal via hotelclub again I will definitely revisit.

very nice for the price
I was sick during my stay and had to stay in bed for 24 hours. Good thing it was a comfy room with a great TV.

The hotel was awesome. They upgraded us to a king luxe without asking. My husband and daughter loved the cookies at night. The room was spacious and the location was perfect.

Love Struck Romantic Couple
NYC Gem!
I booked this hotel because of the location. We were in the city for a Broadway show and we wanted to be within walking distance of the venue. When we arrived parking was pretty easy.. right across the street from the hotel. We entered the small and quiet lobby, checked in with a friendly person who gave us adequate information to make our stay that much better. We went to our room and it was nice! Just what we needed. Good closet space, comfy bed, clean linens, adjustable lighting, awesome bathroom, great water pressure, trendy style... all in all it was great for the money. The bathroom producst were awesome.. C.O. Bigelow. We left the room for the night and came back to warm chocolate chip cookies on our bed along with an option for morning breakfast that we decided not to go for. The next morning we woke up and got ready for their convenient 12 pm checkout. We had a courtesy NY Times on our door knob too! Checkout was simple. Oh and the night before it was pouring so the hotel concierge gave us nice umbrellas! I would definitely recommend this place and stay there again! Location was just the best. One block from Times Square and right off of 6th ave!

This was with out a doubt, the
This was with out a doubt, the highlight of our trip. We were running late and the front desk person asked if there was anything he could do to help as far as directions or setting up a meal upon our arrrival. Everyone on the staff actually took the time to acknowledge us and made us feel welcome. It was unfortunate that we only had one night there. I have recomended the City Club to everyone I know. The Park Central should send there staff here to learn how to deal with guests and to learn how rooms should be ready upon arrival. As far as your rating system goes, very good does not do this hotel justice, EXCELLENT should be up there. We can't wait to go back
