Great for solo business traveler

Checking in and out was quick and the staff was friendly. It's 2 blocks from ninth street, which has a lot of dining options. Room isn't anything special. Everything you need for a smooth, quick business trip.

Decent for the price

New Year's Eve is going to be pricey in NYC and this certainly was the case here. Bare bones amenities, but in the city.

Unbeatable location for the price

Location is convenient if you have to attend convention/shows at Javits Center. Rooms are small but prices is reasonable being located at Manhattan.

My review of Best Western Convention Center Hotel

Room was cheap enough - that' the only reason to get it. It is tight in terms of space. Neighborhood not that great. Restaurants are a few blocks away - not close. Only reason I chose this spot was that it's close to Javits, for my business trip. Not sightseeing in 2 days, but if I were, would have been closer to midtown. This was not a quiet area - traffic and trains are noisy - so if you don't sleep like a rock, you'll need earplugs. If you don't mind walking a few city blocks for your meal and don't mind the loud trains/trucks, book it.
