Affinia Manhattan New York

Our room was very large with two separate bedrooms, a living space and a kitchenette. But it was fairly dark, with only small windows in the different rooms and there was at least one cockroach that we saw/killed. Did not sleep well after that and had no interest lingering in the room the next morning. The parking was $65 for just one night and required a wait in a very long reception line (the same everyone else was in to check in/out) to pay before we could collect the car.

Having 5 people in a hotel room in NYC I was a little frightened to see what the space would look like. To my surprise the 1 br suite was a perfect for 3 adults and 2 children. The only downside was the bathroom was extremely tiny, but it was made up for in the size of the sleeping space. It had a bedroom, sitting area and kitchenette. We arrived VERY early and they were able to give us our room which was much appreciated after a long drive, and to our surprise we had a large patio (no patio furniture, which would have made the stay 5 stars) with a great view of the city. The hotel lobby was under renovations, but it didn't affect our stay. Pricey valet per day but that is to be expected in the city. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to families.

the location of hotel was good,the room for 3 person was very small ,lobby was under construction and too noisy .

It was a nightmare experience that still has no resolution since 12/19/12. My passport, airline tickets, and extremely high dollar concert tickets were stolen out of the locked safe in our room. This claim is valued at $9000, and AIG Insurance Co. has been stalling and totally non-compliant in reimbursing me for this theft. Do not stay here, the Denham Group takes no responsibility for this tragedy in my life.

Reception staff very friendly and could not do enough for you. Room had everything you would need - only down side - bathrooms could have been cleaner - dust and soap marks. That aside would recommend hotel and go back if ever back in NYC!

Hotel, while in a great location, needs a major face-lift. rooms are dimly lit and cramped. Bathroom is outdated and showing signs of wear. Windows are drafty. Staff very friendly and accomodating.

Overall we had a great experience at Affinia Manhattan. The room was larger than expected for a NYC hotel. The kitchenette was a nice touch and allowed us to buy a bottle of wine and enjoy it relaxed in the room. The only downside was that a family member had attempted to contact the hotel and have a surprise room service dessert sent to the room as a birthday surprise and the hotel (concierge and front desk) said this was not possible and were not able to help.

Stayed for two days. Right across Penn Station. Easy access to 1,2,3 line, about 3 blocks away from N,R,Q line. (from 7th ave to 6th ave). A little on the expensive side compared to other 3-star hotels, but it is worth it. Bathrooms could be better designed. Don't book this hotel if you can't tolerate some NYC traffic noise in the nights.

The beds and linens were very clean and nice. That i give a A++. The light in kitchen did not work so we could not see in there. We could not adjust our temperature in the room. It was way too warm so we had to open a window every night. The bathroom was way too small...no counter space to get ready in the morning. This motel room was not worth the price we had to pay for this weekend, not even close. The lobby and staff were excellent though.

We enjoyed the hotel for the location away from the crowds of Times Square, but close enough to everything. Plan to do a lot of walking. The suites are a great size for our family of 5 and would go back to that hotel just for the size of the room. The bathrooms are extremely small, no dressers, beds comfortable, and it is an older hotel, however, our children were comfortable, so we were comfortable...
