Affinia Manhattan New York

First, they told me my reservation was at a different location and blamed me, even after I showed them the confirmation. They moved the reservation to this location and did I regret it (by the way - I had to wait while they forgot about me at the front desk and then had to check in with them again after 30 mins of waiting - they had said they would find me). Second - and more important - the location right next to Penn Station is very loud with the sound of horns and sirens waking me several times a night. Also, the room window air conditioner was loud and added to the lack of sleep. Room was nice though, even if small, and very clean - no complaints there.

Had a room upgrade so I really enjoyed the deluxe room. But the hotel is under construction so it was a bit loud early morning.

The stay was brief and pleasant. The view was limited.

the hotel was really nice and our suite was reasonably priced by NYC standards and the size of a small apartment, including a small equipped kitchen. The location is perfect in midtown--close to trains, buses, and subway. It is a really nice hotel and was perfect for me and my 16-year-old grandson.

This hotel was a great location for us right opposite Penn Station. Staff fantastic. It's a noisy location though and has single glazed windows, right on 7th so light sleepers may need to take ear plugs.

The Affinia is in a great location, just accross the road from Penn Station and within walking distance of Times Square. I had booked a one bedroom suite and was very pleased with the accommodation. We had a nice bedroom with en suite bathroom, quite small but very clean. The living room area was much larger with a pull down sofa bed, tv, desk and comfortable chair the bonus was a small well equipped kitchen that suited our needs. We had to ask for bedding for the sofa as there was none in the room, this was quite quickly delivered. Not coming from a country where air conditioning is needed I found the air con very noisy and disturbing but better than the 104 heat! The other strange thing was the pattern of the hallway carpets it Looked like a it was completely worn on one side. If returning to New York I would be very happy to choose the Affinia Manhatten again.

Enjoyed the hotel. Lots of shopping and eating places near the hotel.

Perfect for the price point and what we needed, which was a place to crash and get ready for a night out on the town. Great location too!!!

This hotel is in one of the best possible locations in Manhattan. Broadway and Times Square is a short walk. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Even though we were not in the room that often, it was definitely smaller than expected. We had to turn on the sink's water to hot in order to receive hot water in the shower. Contacted maintenance regarding the issue and it seemed as if they already knew about the problem, as he told me to turn on the sink to hot. The breakfast was mediocre and a bit pricey. The bar downstairs was great and bartenders were wonderful. Overall, due to the great location of this hotel, I will be staying here again when I return to New York.

The hotel and accomodations were fine. We stayed 4 in a 1 BR suite. It served the purpose of having a place to sleep and by NYC standards I guess it is a suite. However, we requested a early check-in (before 3pm) but still did not have our room ready until 3:30. THe hotel did hold our bags but it set us back from planned activities a bit. I know they can't guarantee an early check-in, but they really should have it ready AT 3pm at the latest...
