A great place to stay in the city!
Our corner room was way bigger than we expected and had a little kitchen. The room was spotless and smelled really nice (some sort of potpourri?). We were disappointed that the there was no free internet as we really needed it to plan our days there. I used my phone to access it instead. I would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful place to stay!
The Affinia Dumont was excactly what we were looking for in this stay in New York. We wanted to be midtown, the location was quiet and we were able to get around to all the places that we needed. The room was very large (jr suite) and spotless and we took advantage of the kitchenette for our small snacks and soft drinks. The staff was very informative about places to eat in the neighborhood. They were always courteous and very pleasant. I would definitely stay here again.

Great hotel!
This is a good 4 star hotel. The room was clean, although not as big or new-looking as the pictures on their website. There were no musty or weird smells. The kitchenette is convenient if you have leftovers from a restaurant or if you want to buy and cook your own food. Nice clean bathrooms with good shampoo, conditioner and soap (Aveda). The only thing I didn't like is that the bathroom is not bright-enough or well-lit as I would've liked, so it was a little hard applying makeup (I like well-lit bathrooms). They have a small magnifying makeup mirror in the bathroom that you can pull out from the side. It has a built in light, but the light on it was very dim. The other negative is that there was a lot of noise from the neighboring rooms, although it wasn't so much where you couldn't sleep at night, but you can hear toilets flushing and water in the pipes. The customer service was very friendly, no complaints on that end. Definitely worth the money. The 4, 5, and 6 train is nearby too, about 3 blocks away.

Shopping tip:
Long walk from hotel
For people who don't know much about NYC, the best clothes shopping is in Soho. Take the 4, 5 or 6 train downtown to Spring street and walk down to Broadway.

Great Location
Traveled with teenage daughter for a girls getaway. The hotel was in a nice neighborhood, 2 blocks from the empire state building and 3 blocks from Macy's. L Hotel is about a 25 minute walk to Times Square. The hotel was nice, staff was friendly and helpful. Everyone we came into contact with was very pleasant. My daughter asked for one of the pillows from the "pillow menu" to be sent up and it was delivered to the room within ten minutes. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Room was also quiet with little to no street noise. Would definitely stay here again!

Buy a New York pass if you plan to visit a lot of attractions. Saves money and you can skip the ticket lines. Also Murray Hill Diner just around the corner from the hotel on Lexington Ave. Good food, moderate prices.

very nice!
Very gracious, very helpful staff. The rooms were gorgeous, great view. The location was good. Very central, though not much was directly around it, had to go many blocks in either direction--but very close to two different subway stops, so that was great! I might have liked to be near more stuff, but really, we were sort of in the center of everything so it worked out wonderfully. Would definitely stay there again.

Extremely Pleasant Hotel
The staff was the friendliest I think I've ever experienced! They bent over backward to help you. The rooms (I had a one bedroom suite) were very spacious and reasonably priced for New York. The decor was very chic and modern and inviting. The subway, a market and restaurants are all close. We stayed on the 34th floor and it was extremely quiet. Overall, a wonderful experience!
