Suites, spa and fun amenities near the Empire State Building
Service is the name of the game at the Affinia Dumont, a boutique-style property in Murray Hill. The hotel offers special services and complimentary perks for guests' children and pets. Guests can choose a themed Experience Kit such as the running kit, which includes an iPod to borrow. Most suites have kitchens. A spa, fitness center and restaurant round out the amenities.

Very good set up for a weekend in NYC

Disappointed by management

Great ascetics.... unfortunately had a HORRIBLE customer service experience. Would otherwise recommend, HOWEVER my interaction with front desk/lobby staff was like nothing I've ever experienced. Would never recommend the treatment I encountered... look else where. I will add that my service experience took place with new front desk management (1/18/2013) BUT if this is what guests have to look forward, SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! Horrible attitudes and dismissive staff.

Great Value

This hotel was a great find. I'm a native NYer who moved from the city 7 years ago. I came back for a weekend to visit family and friends. The hotel location is near the subway (a 3 minute walk) buses and taxis are all around all hours. The neighborhood is safe to walk all hours of the night with places to eat and drink are all about the area. The room I had was clean and comfortable and the staff was very friendly. I would stay here again when I return another time.

Perfect!

Great stay! Booked in January for a stay in June. The hotel was fantastic! Very clean and super modern. The staff goes out of their way to make you comfortable. Friendliest check in/out I've ever had in NYC. Most up to date room I've seen in NYC as well. Would definitely come back!

Surprisingly good

Booked a Jr. Suite that amazingly spacious for NYC. Bathrooms were small but not a huge negative. Great neighborhood. Room was renovated with a modern slant. Great king bed. Nice bar and restaurant attached. Great value for the money.

Comfortable three night stay

I had a great break in NY made better by staying at the Affinia Dumont. I stayed in a Junior Suite which was spacious and tidy with a great view looking out at The Chrysler Building. The King size bed had a really soft mattress that made getting off to sleep easy. The staff were all polite and helpful. The location was perfect, you are a stones throw from bars, restaurants, take outs, a mini market, a pharmacy, 2nd Ave Deli and 33rd Street Subway Station (not to mention the Empire State Building is just two blocks away). I only have two criticisms, you have to pay for the wi-fi and the mini bar is very expensive (fortunately there is a mini market next door). I am planning on going back to NY next year and would definately stay at the Affinia Dumont again.
