70 park avenue, a Kimpton Hotel

The amenities listed were non-existent at the Hotel itself - they had a contract with an off-site health club for exercise equipment and pool access, the spa services were also off-site (which is the reason they offer in-room spa service however if you get the in-room spa service your room must be large enough to accommodate the spa table - which means you may need to upgrade if you have a King Premier) I was disappointed that there was no in-room coffee, (you had to either go downstairs for coffee between 8-10:30 or order room service) (ridiculous) the dining was in a bar setting (and we don't drink and don't frequent bars) The breakfast which we did have on the first day left something (no a lot)to be desired and was extremely overpriced. Our visit to New York itself was great the hotel I'd give a 2-1/2 star rating.

Unimpressive hotel vs all the hyped reviews Rooms were extremely tiny No hd television

The room was very small. Could not get dressed without bumping into the bed or the desk. No wash cloths in room. toliet was stopped up. Staff responded to all isues promptly. Would not stay here again

Small room, expected for a smaller hotel in NY, however a couple of issues that somewhat soured the experience. -There was some type of leak in the bathroom next to the tub, initally when we checked in we did not notice, however later in the evening there was standing water next to the tub (tub/shower had not been used), reported it and they stated would be taken care of next morning. Next evening same thing, I reqeusted to speak with a manager, was told I would receive a call back and never did, next morning spoke with front desk, they did know if or when someone even looked at it, again no manager available?? Was told would notify a manager but again NO follow up. Checked out on the 3rd day, never any follow up. -Also, the concierge desk was particularly unhelpful, seemed like we were 'bothering' them when asking for information, felt like we were interrupting them when requesting a map or information. Overall the rooms were clean and nice except the leaky bathroom that was never fixed. I would not stay there again and would NOT recommend anyone I know to stay there.

Everything looked fine until we actually unpacked. Although the beds were comfortable, the room was quite small. It had a t.v. that you had to watch from the bed because there was a chair on the other side of the room and a desk chair blocking movement from one side of the room to the other and no chair could really be placed in front of the t.v. The bathroom was cold, the window was poorly insulated as were all of the windows. So if you turned up the heat it was too hot, and although there was a heater in the toilet it was right next to the toilet and would burn your leg if it were to be used (and thus it was never used). Very little space around the toilet for your legs. An engineer came and put a sheet over the bathroom window for me when I complained about how cold it was and it didn't do much good.

Hotel is nice, great location, but room we got was very small. Bathroom was tiny and would need some small repairs. Overall good value.

First, but not our last trip to New York.. amazing trip , minus the very cold weather. The hotel, was clean, and all the staff very friendly and extremely helpful.. A+. From the doormen, the maid service, the front desk and everyone in between were great! As this was our first trip, not sure what we expected from the hotel, however the room was very small, definitely by Canadian standards. The largest thing in the room was the tv! I am glad I chose the Deluxe Queen, not sure we would have stayed in anything smaller. Tiles were falling off the shower, and simply not enough room. Will visit NYC numerous times I"m sure, but will look for more spacious accomodations. Just home from NY today

very small rooms and odd small bathroom

Room was spacious and well appointed, with a good working desk and lighting. Lobby was small and felt a bit dead. Staff seemed friendly and helpful, although I had little interaction with them aside from check in/check out. A very good location.

Room was ok but bathroom was too small for my taste.
