VERY helpful and friendly staff. Big room and comfortable, not too soft, bed. Easy access to trains in long island city and quiet rooms..perfect

Our stay at this hotel was fantastic. The staff was very professional and friendly. Our room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. The area however has less options to eat and shop. We just had to ride the train a few stops away to get something to eat. Overall experience was great. We will definitely will choose this hotel again.

Nothing but good things to say about The Verve. The staff was wonderful - front desk girl was busy, so other guy came, tagged and took our bags even though we were several hours early for check-in. The desk also called cabs for us at crazy hours. Clean, comfortable room.

The hotel is clean, has a washer and dryer and they even sell small detergents and Bounce dryer sheets. The room is clean, cable TV is great, the free breakfast is wonderful and its 3 blocks from my offices. Reception was very helpful ordering from the 24 hour diner close by. ATM machine in the lobby is also helpful. They also have a parking garage if you rent a car. I really can't find anything to list as negative, I give it 5 stars.

this is our second stay at the verve . quiet, close to subway (queens plaza) great staff, super excellent continental breakfast, always greeted with a smile. highly recomended as a nice clean affordable place to stay!

This is our second stay at the Verve while visiting NY. The staff and management go out of thier way to help in any way they can. Excellent continental breakfast with large variety, complementry coffees and hot choc usually available throught out the day. About three long blocks to subway maybe a five min walk to get there really no problem to get anywhere you want in 20 min or so on the subway We love it and recommend it to all. courtesy shuttle to LGA for 25.00, its a bargin and fast. might be nice to have a pool but we go to the big apple to enjoy the non stop action and sights and our family. Totally thumbs up for the Verve! We will be back again and again.

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I was always able to get a great dinner recommendation and daily event suggestions. I was in the process of assisting a relative in setting up residence and the staff made our daily needs (apartment search, banking, services, commute, etc)very stress free. I cannot recommend this hotel strongly enough. The hot continental breakfast each morning and the variety of coffee drinks always available was an added benefit.

My wife and I had one night to spend in NYC. We arrived at Penn Station and really didn't want getting to and from the hotel to be our chief time investment. AND we wanted to have some money left to see the town. Verve Hotel was amazing. The desk staff were very polite and carefully advised us how best to reach the hotel via the subway including which side of the station to exit. The two blocks from the subway to the hotel are not scenic and suggest vigilance but once at the hotel WOW. The staff was helpful, the lobby was clean and well lit. The room was very clean, very nicely and recently furnished. The bottled water, robes, coffee maker, and quality soaps were nice touches as were the several nice large pillows. The heater worked, and was quiet. Breakfast was typical hotel fare, but one of the hotel managers was there to give directions, assure satisfaction, and offered a printed sheet to make sure our walk to the subway was without a hitch. Wonderfully friendly and concerned without being overbearing. My wife and I will go back again and feel this is one of those "secrets" that we were lucky enough to learn early in what will be many trips to NYC.
