it's NY duh!
Pros & Cons- rm a bit small but clean. no fridge or microwave but you can use hotel lounge that has microwave & a few leftover snacks & coffee 24/7. Neighborhood on the "urban" side but walking distance to a bus stop that takes you to the subway to see the sites. Walking distance fr a chinese fd that was very good & cheap. Popeye's right next to it that is open late. Front dest staff are very helpfull n some could care less. If you're looking for affordability & just a place to sleep after seeing the sites this hotel is good for that.

Short drive from hotel
Roosevelt and 69th Street has lots of mix ethnic restaurants that's open late like Asian, Mexican, and Indian. It's about ten minutes drive or bus there fr this hotel.

Not too terible
The hotel was clean and comfortable. We stayed here due to a cancelled flight and it was not a bad choice.

Convenient Location
Very close to LGA airport and the rental car return location. Room was small, but clean. Free breakfast was very basic, but "Ok". There was NOTHING around the motel, as far as restaurants, entertainment, etc..

Crisis
Our daughter was stuck at JFK airport at 9 PM with four young children. Their 14 hour plane ride from China was delayed an additional three hours so they missed the connecting flight. The airline was not helpful and the next flight was not until 6 AM from Laguardia. I immediately was able to book a room at the most reasonable price at the most convenient hotel. I was also given the hotel phone number so I was able to call and ask that they be kind to the exhausted family. They were! Thank you so much.

Comfortable and affordable
I spent one night in East Elmhurst. The location is close to the airport and the shuttle to and from was convenient.

not bad but could be better
For the money I paid (around $100) it was not bad. Like their no-smoking policy (in the whole hotel). The room was close to the reception and was a bit noisy still at 2am. The breakfast was ok but there was no hot food, mostly just juice/coffee, pastries, cereals, etc. Overall it's not a great hotel but definitely ok for a short stay or if you are on a budget.

took the M60 from Columbia University. 30-minute ride and only walked 2 minutes from the 82nd/23rd street stop!
