First Trip to NY
My husband was from the Bronx. Well when it said Days Inn Yankee Stadium you would think that it is right next to the stadium Umm NOPE it is blocks 10 blocks away. The room was great the people were great. This was my first trip to NY to meet my inlaws. The only thing I would change is the AC units because they don't cool down the room that great but other than that. I was happy with my stay we went to Times Square and to see the statue of liberty

Poor Location
Being from out of town. Would have liked it to be closer to stadium. Not somewhere I would bring children. 15 minute walk to stadium and glad we were able to get where we needed in daylight. Would not have walked anywhere at night. Room was close to lobby and it was noisy all night. However, the staff was wonderful very polite and room was kept fairly clean.

Clean
This hotel is very clean, the staff was very helpful and polite. only down fall is the location is not that close to subway stations, but there are a lot of bus route you can take to wherever you want to go, there is a few food spots to go along 3rd Ave, it is also pretty quite within the area. there is not a fridge or microwave ion these rooms which can be annoying, but front desk may heat your food if even tho they are not meant to, the breakfast is very basic, so you may want to head to MacDonald to fulfill your hunger needs. but overall if you are looking for a hotel to just rest your head with easy access to the city this is a nice pleasant hotel to stay at which is affordable and clean.

A's vs Yankees
This hotel worked very well for what we wanted: a convenient location to Yankee Stadium. Our room was comfortable and very clean, but pretty basic. Great shower, get the handicapped room, it's bigger. Loved the "roll in" shower. The staff was good, breakfast very basic but adequate. We walked to Yankee Stadium once, 15 minute walk but a taxi is easier and at night, safer. We felt safe in the hotel with the night guard in the lobby but question ~why do they need a night guard? Hmmm... Our car was parked on site which cuts down on parking at the stadium, traffic after the game, etc. Nice perk. Great place to stay if you are a baseball fan.

Perfect Stadium Stay
It was perfect distance from the Yankee Stadium. Could use a pool, but overall worked for what we needed.

Clean with nice staff and within walking distance of Yankee Stadium
The Good: Very cool AC Very powerful shower head Nice sized-room Soft, comfy bed Simple exercise room in the basement Free wifi throughout the hotel Within walking distance of Yankee Stadium and other transit hubs - I walk quickly and it took me about 15 minutes each way Great staff (the night shift lady took the time to go into my email and print my Yankees tickets for me after I realized I had forgotten to bring them) Great price for New York The Not So Perfect: Very smokey smell in the room because no windows open. I did request a smoking room, but it was even too much for me! Small cigarette burns on the quilt and sheets gave it a seedy feel The walk is not ideal in one small stretch (see below)

Time-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
Walk out of Yankee Stadium up 161st past McDonald's. Proceed up the hill and keep going for a solid 10 minutes until you see Field Avenue. You will pass a number of public apartment blocks, but the area is for the most part clean and vibrant and teeming with culture. Stop into the small delis and get a sandwich - they were delicious. Talk to people in the neighbourhood - every single person I talked to made me feel welcome. Turn left on Field and walk briskly. This is the only part of the walk that I felt sketchy because there are train tracks on the right and no one was around - a 5 minute stretch of barren nothingness. You will pass a large cold beer store on your left. Keep going - you are half way there. Once you reach the next set of lights, look right and you will see the Days Inn - an oasis in the middle of an industrial park that looks completely out of place. You can also walk to the 167 Street Station (167 and Grand Concourse) or take Bronx buses (BX6 went down 161 to Yankee Stadium, while BX41 went up Park to a small shopping area with a Modell's, lids, Foot Locker and other other decent stores. By the way - NY is now tax free on purchases of clothes and shoes under $100, so no need to go to Jersey anymore.

Good Room for a Great Price
My girlfriend and I went to the city for the night down from Boston and we found this place at a very decent price. We spent the day in Manhattan which was only a 15-20 min drive away and the following day at the Bronx Zoo which was even closer! The room was fine except for a broken door handle on the bathroom door and finding a cig butt on the floor of a supposedly "Non-Smoking" room. Other than that, it was a comfortable stay and I would book it again.
