Fairfield Inn by Marriott New York LaGuardia Airport/Astoria

During our stay the day manager on duty, Jennifer, remembered our names and always addressed us by them. The drivers who took us to the train stations and airport were very good about making sure my wife was seated where she didn't have to climb in and out very often due to her use of a cane. Housekeeping staff always greeted us and ask us if there was something we might need.

Stayed there on a recent business trip and was pleased. Breakfast could have been a little better but it was still very good, Beds are very comfy and I am in the bedding business so I tend to be a little fusy on that. Very easy access right off 278 and parking is good unless you arrive late. place is VERY clean for a NY hotel in that price range. Staff is pleasant and helpful. plenty of places to eat within walking distance. DO not do the italian place 3 blocks away, very pricey and if you order the low priced items on tbe menu they get offended and do not serve you well. Try Connellys steak house about 2 miles from there. Amazing place!

Actually my concern was that this Hotel is not very close to Flushing where I want to meet friends and the Manhattan where I want to have fun. But after I have lived there for two night, I will definitely miss that place. Everyone was nice to help you, very neat room, great breakfast. BTW, the shuttle can give you a ride to subway station and drive you back, you can either choose to drive by yourself or go out by subway. No more words, I recommendant people live this hotel!

Great value, good parking and clean room, very convient to the astoria area. Walking distance to great restaurants and shopping.

Our room was SUPER CLEAN, maybe the cleanest I'd ever seen (which was great). Our room walls were VERY THIN. I could clearly hear our neighbor switch his table light on and off. It was mighty uncomfortable. Late Saturday night (5:30AM) we were awoken to the sound of a very drunk patron pounding on our door trying to get into the room b/c he thought it was his...NOT COOL. A staff member also decided it was a good idea to vacuum the hallway at 10PM. The breakfast was pretty solid and the shuttle to the metro was GREAT!

We stayed here because it was close to my sisters in Astoria and it was a great choice. Downside, if you put a debit card on file for the incidentals, they charge $20/night and dont say anything. Yes, there is a sign at the other end on the counter next to a potted plant, but when you are checking in at 1 am after 8 hours on a plane, you cant read 10 point font through foliage from ten feet away. That was the extent of our bad experience there. Otherwise, great rate and good service. You do get some freeway noise, but we were so exhausted from our fun every day in the city that it didnt matter. 15 minute walk from a subway station that has you in central park in 15 minutes more. We had our 1 year old with us and getting on and off the subways isn't all that hard. if your plan is to send the whole day in the city and crash at the hotel at night, this is the place to go.

I picked this place because it was near where my daughter lived in Queens. I didn't expect much but I was pleasantly surprised with the very clean and comfortable room (especially bed!). Basic amenities were good and housekeeping did a good job (The Sunday staff forgot to clean the in-room coffee pot but I've had higher priced hotels do the same!) The free breakfast was good but not fantastic (hey it's free!). Staff was friendly and willing to help with any questions. If you like to walk, the subway is a 15 hike from the hotel (or you can take the bus, or the hotel will drive you to the subway.) Not counting the walking, you are about 1/2 hour from Times Sq via subway. There are a lot of restaurants on Ditmar which is a few blocks north and west. For New York, the price was very good and therefore the value was high.

This hotel is only 5 minutes by shuttle from La Guardia. The lobby is very small. The staff was attentive, pleasant and helpful. The room was standard size and absolutely spotless with all the standard features (desk, flat screen TV, alarm clock, iron). Everything worked fine in the room Free WiFi! The barhroom was not small and had plenty of towels with Pantene toiletries. Absolutely no view from my room. Breakfast is basic, but included in the room rate. All you can eat type. You will not feel like you are in a cheezy motel. So why stay here? Good value, convenient shuttle, clean comfortable rooms with comfortable beds. I was there for a family function in Astoria and it was a great little hotel.

Close to La Guardia Airport. Walking distance streets have variety of small shops and fast food even thought the neighborhood is not the prettiest one... A short walk will take you to the Astoria train station so you can go to Manhattan easy. There is also a shuttle to the hotel and to the airport every half hour. The rooms are clean!!! and equipped with a microwave , refrigerator and coffee maker to make things easier when traveling with kids or "coach potato" people... I will recommend it for sure.

Checkin was very easy and fast. The clerk was very patient and courteous while I was trying to juggle checkin and a very important phone conversation. By the end of conversation my room key was ready. I usually do not sleep good while away from home, i did here. Felt safe and comfortable. I did not bring my computer and there was one in lobby that I was able to use to print boarding pass for flight home. Thank you employee's at Fairfield Inn at Marriot in Astoria New York.
