Quite satisfied
Seems to be a drawing spot for the younger groups and couples, we are in our 50's, but just walk out the door and go to the old traditional casinos and all is well!

Worked For Us
For what we paid this deal was really good. The rooms are very clean, and there was covered parking. The buffet was not very good but we had a two for one deal and cheep beers so for the price it was fine. Basically for the price you don't get any better than this.

Harrah's
Harrah's was very nice to come to at the end of a long day on the road. The desk clerk was very kind and greeted us with a smile and was very helpful in answering all our questions. All of the restaurant staff was very busy getting ready to close the restaurant for the day, but still took time to help us.

More three star than four star
While the hotel wasn't bad, it wasn't up to the level at most four star hotels. Room quality was just okay and the staff was friendly and curteous. The smell of smoke was present throughout the hotel (it was noticable, though not strong in our non-smoking room). The A/C unit in our room make a lot of noise so we turned it off. Walking through the casino felt like it was seedier than what I'd epxect a four star to feel like. For the rating/price, I think I should do better.

Out dated
Casino was outdated and empty. The rooms need to be updated. Gift at the east tower was only open for a few hours in the evening. Will not go back here again, to many good casinos near by.

Excellent Value
The hotel was perfectly located in the center of the downtown. The room was clean, quiet, comfortable, and well equipped. The bed was good and there were no distracting noises and an excellent view out the window. Amenities were superb and the steak house was better than advertised, an exquisite dining experience. The cost of the room was a real bargain. We forgot our computer in the room when we left and returned a couple of hours later to find the computer had been recovered by the hotel staff and it was returned to us without incident or problems.

Critical Redhead
Mediocre
I was surprised at the feel and condition of this hotel. I remember Harrah's in South Lake Tahoe being awesome and super nice...But that is not the case with the one here in Reno! We stayed in the East Tower (and I think the West tower is supposed to be nicer). Anyway, the beds were uncomfortable and not to mention the sheets! Holy Jesus! Can you say "the roughest sheets in the world"! I was planning on shaving my legs the next morning but didn't need to b/c these sheets literally sanded the hair off my legs! And seriously, what hotel room doesn't have a small fridge in it nowadays? Bottom line: Next time we will drop the extra 30 bucks a night to stay at the el dorado or silver legacy.

Last Minute Stay
Our stay was on a weekday. The Staff was friendly, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We ate at the buffet and it was pretty good. There was not a huge selection and some of the food tasted like it had been there for awhile. The only negative thing I can think of about our stay was that the only coffee maker in the room was a Keurig and you had to pay for each cup you made. Would definitely stay there again.
