Westgate Las Vegas

Had a great experience at the Westgate Las Vegas on Saturday October 4th. The location is a little north and slightly off the strip but with the mono-rail stop right there that was no problem. Check in and check-out was smooth and easy, the room was very nice with a great view of the strip on the 7th floor. Would definitely stay here again, especially for the price we paid!

Poor welcoming

We have stayed several times at this hotel and our experience has been good except for this last time.. we arrived to find our room was not ready despite being like 430pm. Not only this, he also told us that despite having requested one bed they only had a room with two beds. It didn't matter that I told him we had been at this hotel before and it was the first time they were changing our reservations, all he said was oh well there is always a first time! He did offer to accomodate our reservation but for an extra fee. Very dissapointing way to be welcome.

Not Pleased!

The Westgate Hotel was not what we expected. Hotel is very dirty! For example, are bedroom sheets had stain on the pillow and covers, coffee table had had prints as well. Lastly, the most dissatifying thing was that we went to the hotel buffett and paid $50.00 to eat. We did not enjoy are food or could not even stay to eat since we saw a crawling roach on the food! Horrible and disgusting! Do not recommend!!

Good location, bad staff

I liked the location, the hotel itself is fine and the room was fine no issues there. The staff however, needs more training in customer service. Also, the hotel staff is constantly trying to sell you tickets to their shows and trips, etc. In my opinion it cheapens the brand. I don't like gimmicks, but they insist that you should attend their "orientation" or go get a free "gift." It is ridiculous.

Entertainment tip: Short drive from hotel

You can easily drive to see the pawn shop or the down town. If you want to go to the strip take the monorail. $12 for unlimited use per person per day.

Surprise BDay for Hubbie

This hotel package was at a very attractive and reasonable rate. Although an older, less glamorous off strip location, it was a comfortable place to stay and the staff was courteous. However, I would choose another hotel if you really want the strip experience because we had to consider transportation every where we went. The monorail was our saving grace but if we stayed in the center of things (the strip), it would have been more convenient.

less busy section of las vegas

The staff is courteous and the room very clean but the bathrooms aren't modern. New flat screen tv was very nice. The AC temp was not easy to control. There is a sliding control without any temperatures so it is either too hot or too cold. The room amenities listed on the website are not free. $3.50 for a Keurig coffee in the room or $4 for a water bottle. They even charge for the use of the computer in the business center (timed internet usage charged) and they charge $1 per page for any print outs. The Paradise Cafe was reasonably priced and the food very good.

hotel review

the only bad part of the hotel was that they charged what they called a resort fee. I was under the impression that the fee we paid was everything was paid for and then we get that resort fee. They wanted to deduct $50 per day from my debit card or pay almost $20 up front per day. I did not think that was fair. otherwise the hotel was good and room was clan. service was good and meals were good.

I booked a king bed room, and they have a double bed. I called them to ask what had happened. And the say that would charge me $20 more to upgrade when my reservation said that was the king bed room. Other then that everything was ok. The price is ok.
