With a LEED Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council, along with expansive, eco-friendly suites, there's an emphasis on holistic relaxation rather than gaming tables. Let the resident bartenders serve you up a cocktail at Bar Vdara while you indulge your inner child on the outdoor swings or visit the ESPA professionals for a personalized facial. Guests can simply choose to spend their days lounging at a rooftop cabana near plunge pools and the magnificent Vegas horizon, or putting across the greens at the exclusive Shadow Creek Golf Course.  Picking up a few gourmet wines and cheeses at Market Cafe Vdara before leaving ensures luggage full of enviable souvenirs.

Where do they hide the trashcans?

This is a small suite with a kitchen/breakfast nook, living room, bedroom, and bath. BAD: I found 2 trashcans, 1 beside the toilet, and another under the desk between the bedroom and living room. So if you're in the kitchen or breakfast nook, you get to cross the living room to find a trash can. Also, my dorm fridge in college was bigger than the one supplied in room. It looks sufficient until you open it and realize it is only 8 inches deep (really). You're going to spend some time learning the light switches (or just fumbling with them for several days). No coffee maker? My resort fee is $25/day, and I don't get a free cup of coffee?! Room service will deliver it for $15. Want to plug in your phone beside the bed? To bad, they've hidden the plugs! GOOD: On Saturday afternoon the check-in took 10, maybe 15 minutes. The rooms are comfortable and the soaps smell nice - like a fancy fruit drink! Eco-Friendly (?). Non-smoking. Pleasant staff. The in-room entertainment system has a multitude of AV inputs so that you should be able to connect almost any computer or device. Two TVs. Express check-out via the TV.

Money-saving tip: Long walk from hotel

The Vdara Market Bakery is overpriced and the wait can be long. For food & coffee, take the tram to Monte Carlo. Minutes from the tram you will find a Starbucks (which is cheaper, really) and another minute of walking leads you to a food court with many options. For in-room snacks and drinks, head across the street to the mall at Planet Hollywood. Find ABC Store. It probably has what you need and is cheaper than Walgreens.

Great conference locale

If you must spend time indoors in Las Vegas, the Vdara is the perfect place. In addition to having comfortable conference accommodations, the non-smoking, non-gaming hotel has suites that feel like home, wonderful staff and yummy food (including veggie options......). The gym and spa are quite nice (thank you, Alisa....the facial was special) and I quite liked the hotel bar. It was a place a woman traveling alone felt quite comfortable frequenting.

A short walk over a sky bridge brings you directly into the Bellagio. Also, as soon as you cross te sky bridge, there is a free tram that will transport you all the way down to the Monte Carlo. Great time saver, and gives you a break from all the walking.

Great atmosphere, super clean, quiet!

The hotel was amazing the room was incredible it smelled good and wasn't loud at all. It was nice to be able to come back to a nice quiet hotel after going out. Only complaint was it was kind of hard to get back to. We always had to walk through the Bellagio to get back. If you don't mind a little walking it was great. Amazing rooms!

Lovely Spot

It was delightful to stay in a Las Vegas smoke free hotel that smelled fresh and clean. The crisp efficiency of the staff was appreciated as well as other amenities in this first rate hotel. A negative is the location of this property because it is tucked around the corner of the Bellagio and there is not a direct route to the strip. That meant extra walking. Another issue was when we checked out and were told we needed to pay an extra $25 resort fee per day. The swimming pool was not in use and basically we felt this fee was excessive.

Mostly good, some not so much

Started poorly, arrived far before check in and was told that they were rigidly adhering to the 3:00 pm policy. Have done the same at several Vegas hotels and gotten rooms early without any difficulty, surprised by their inability to accomodate. When the room was available it was very nice. Large, well equipped and comfortable. Everything was new and well laid out. The view wasn't particularly spectacular but was active at night and sunny by day. As others have mentioned there aren't many amenities here. There is only one bar, one restaurant and one 'store' which has coffee, snacks and condo like supplies. There is also a spa. This is not at all like the other Vegas mega resorts with casinos and restaurants around every corner. It is a fairly short walk to Aria where many more facilities are available. Didn't see the pool. There is a direct walkway to Bellagio. You have to walk around the circular entry to get to Aria where there is a walkway directly to Monte Carlo. If you were attending an event at Bellagio this would be a very convenient and significantly less expensive alternative. All in all I would definitely stay here again.

Dining tip: Long walk from hotel

Go through Aria casino to the walkway to Monte Carlo where there is an uncrowded Starbucks. Same walkway has a restaurant called The Pub with many craft beers and relatively reasonably priced food - emphasis on burgers.
