Great for First Stay in Vegas
The Vdara had spacious rooms that were very nice. It was very convenient to get to other hotels nearby with the tram system. It could use more seating for it's one small "restaurant" or another casual restaurant for those who don't want to go outside of the hotel to eat.

Nice Hotel
nice hotel - very clean - room service was ordered and never came (but we were not charged) - despite the hotel seeming very empty, we could only get on the 6th floor with a pretty terrible view - the tub has a drain (with protruding drain stopper) right in the middle of the tub that you literally have to sit on to take a bath (very uncomfortable) - staff was not that knowledgeable about surroundings - we probably will spend a little more and stay at the cosmopolitan next door next time

FANTASIC HOTEL, Great location
Vdara hotel was FANTASIC! Room was very clean actually spotless. Front desk was great. Customer service was a 10 star. Great location. I will say it is aboout a mile from the strip but it is definitely walking distance to get to the strip. Lots of food places near by. I will definitely stay here again and each time I return to Vegas! The only compliant would be that the pool was not opened.

"The Vdara Disappointment"
Wow is all I can say, $260 a night and NO coffe maker in your room... You get to go stand in line at the ONLY cafe in the hotel for 45 min to pay $7.00 for a cup in the morning, unless you wish to have a whole pot sent up to your room then its an hour wait and only $16.00 + tip?? Hum... Then theres the shower... my wife is only 5' 2" 125lbs and could bearly shave her legs.. they look nice! though you need to be a midget to have plenty of room. The shower head pressure would be perfect if you were bald and didnt use shampoo.. This is a NON-Smoking Hotel, meaning if you smoke they put you outside in a NON-Covered area in the sun, rain, ect... I dont discriminate against NON-Smokers?? why would they do this to me?? Cabs are another down fall at this Hotel, THERE ISNT ANY... Just walk on over to another hotel close by because you will wait forever for a cab, almost missed my flight home and had to stay yet ANOTHER night in this "Horror-Hotel" Oh! and dont forget the "Death-Ray" Pool! the designers of this hotel inadvertantly designed the hotel that it shines the sun into the pool, meanng when its 95 outside its 295 in the pool! Lobster-Ville! Will never revisit not even if they paid me next time! Other than that the rest of Vegas was a Blast!!

The Best of Vegas
Your retreat from reality starts from the minute you enter the hotel ... sights, sounds and smell all aligned to maximize your relaxation experience. Hotel Staff was great ... we arrived before the room was ready. They ensured everything was taken care of by the time we returned later in the day, everyone was helpful. Getting to the casino is easy - less distance then staying at some of the remote buildings at other casinos. The room is great; we loved the mini fridge, microwave etc. Overall great deal for the price and amenities.

Fold out Beds are not comfortable
I did like the non gaming non smoking. It saved me $$ no doubt. However the fold out sofabeds are not comfortable unless you like springs in your back. The photos of the suite on the Vdara website are very misleading. They suggest a partition with the TV in between the King Bed and the fold out sofa but in fact that isnt the case and you are toe to toe. Also not a big deal but the Blackout shades don't blackout the room and when your up all night ... you need them. Not Bad but some issues.

Good Hotel
This hotel was perfect in lots of ways especially the Location and Edward the concierge was very very helpful. Sadly there were a few things that were not quite right for a 5* hotel: 1. There was no tea/coffee in the rooms and no kettle to even make tea or coffee 2. If there is to be a resort charge it should only be charged to the room, only if you use the area. We were charge $20 each day of our stay yet only used the area twice. 3. We were also amazed to find that there was an additional charge of $25 each time to hotel guests for the use of the Steam and Sauna in the spa are. 5. We found some of the staff in the entrance way bar area and coffee shop to be quite rude. 6.11am is far two early for check out in Vegas.
