Dealertainers, divas and luaus define this worldly center-Strip classic
Like a favorite uncle, The Quad Resort & Casino Located next to Flamingo is a reliable presence at the center of the Las Vegas Strip. With a slightly kitschy tribute to ancient Japan, The Quad Resort & Casino offers a variety of entertainment, amenities and dining in a relatively compact space. More entertainment includes Frank Marino's cross-dressing Divas, the acrobats of Japan's Matsuri and the world-class Auto Collections. Please be advised that this hotel will be under major renovations starting immediately and the projected completion date is sometime in late 2013. Effective immediately, vehicular access to The Quad from The Strip is permanently closed and all traffic must enter the property via the back entrance. The Quad
The hotel is still being remodeled (May 2013) it was under construction last time I was there in Dec. 2012 and they say it still has another years or so. This was the worst hotel I ever stayed at. I actually got a room next door at the Flamingo for one night but couldn't get it for another plus I already paid for the Quad. The room was dirty, cob webs all over, the tub/shower backed up. No one ever answers when you call the front desk. They don't clean room well at all. Pool was ok, but closed at 5pm way too early. And I think I was bitten by bed bugs will find out at drs tomorrow. I believe motel 6 would be better. Wont ever go back to The Quad (formerly The Imperial)

Great location, but old and filthy
Paid extra to have a room with a large tub, but the tub was so filthy that I didn't use it once. There was a ring of soap scum that indicated it had not been washed after the previous guests used it, the shower curtain was nasty, and we jokingly called all the mold "decorative black grouting." The carpet was old and filthy, the TV didn't work consistently, and it was hard to get the staff to answer the telephone. Elevators were really slow, the food was overpriced. Very disappointing!

Still the same old story
Well after arriving and attempting to check in I was informed that the room I had booked for this trip was not available with what I reserved. I was told that the options I wanted we're available for a $15.00 a night upgrade. Not what I paid for. Upon that I just said fine and paid the additional $30.00. My room was fair but had issues with plumbing right off the bat Called it in and waited hours but no one showed up to repair. I don't expect much from this place but the basics should not be so difficult

Under construction?
It seemed as though the whole casino was still under construction. Walls were boarded and carpets were stained. Location and price was great but I would recommend spending a little more for a much better room. We did enjoy the car museum located at the Quad and that it had a walkway right to the monorail and harrahs casino. The walls and carpet just gave the hotel a "dumpy" feel. I have stayed at the imperial palace before it was Quad and it was much better then.

Under Construction
This casino/hotel is still the Imperial Palace, but really it's only half the Imperial Palace. Walkways are smaller than they should be, and a good chunk of the casino is blocked off due to construction. As of 4/14/2013, there's many places that are better to stay in Vegas for less.

First & Last Time Staying at the Quad
My husband and I took an impromptu road trip to Vegas for one night only, for the NCAA Championship game. We figured since this was just a one-night trip, we'd figure out a hotel on our way there. Because of the big game, all of the hotel prices were jacked wayyy up. The Quad, normally around $20 a night, from what I've researched, was $84 ($64 plus tax and fees). We had figured we'd stay at the Quad because we heard it was dirt cheap and the location is pretty central on the strip. Well, this was when we were thinking of it being about $20. Obviously you get what you pay for so we weren't expecting much. When we ended up paying $84, it became a frustrating experience. If we had paid $20, I would have said this was fair. But they should not have jacked the prices up because paying $84 for a $20 room was absolute theft... it was gross. If you're going for just 1 night and you plan to be out late and partying, I would say it's worth it for a cheap $20 and the good location. But I really don't think it's do-able to stay more than 1 night, or for more than $20. It's so beyond outdated...it really needs to be demolished and a new hotel should be built. The parking structure is disgusting (and we had a lovely view of it...ha) and the hotel reeks of weed and smoke...the bathroom wasn't very clean....the beds were clean, thank God. It was just NOT your typical vegas experience with high caliber hotels and amenities. I'm glad we checked it out so that we know we are never gonna stay there again...I'd say spend more $$ and have a better experience.

Quad old and tired hotel
I found the hotel staff was not very friendly and very abrupt in answering questions. This is the old Imperial Palace Hotel. The carpets are stained and the overall appearance very worn out. The views are non existent overlooking other worn out parts of the hotel. I wouldn't go back.
