Everything in one place

My experience was very good. Besides 1 very rude women bartender at the Mardi Gras bar, the personnel were very hospitable. The view of the strip from the room was great. I would definitely stay at The Orleans again.

Time-saving tip: In Hotel

There is so much to do at The Orleans, it can be overwhelming. If you are staying for a couple of days, don't try to do too much. Just plan to come back another time to take advantage of all your options.

The Orleans was perfect for us, quiet, off the strip and very comfertable..We took a bus trip to the west rim of Grand Canyon for 12 hrs. so were very glad to have a good bed.We did sight see the casinos also, We continued on to St. George Utah for a week of visiting the national parks by car.

Great stay!

Off strip hotel but awesome place to stay. Staff was friendly and helpful. Resort fees were cheap. Pool and guest rooms were all in one place and you didn't have to walk far to get to them. On sight food was great and there was a cafe open 24/7 that served breakfast all day. Free shuttle to the strip. Did not have a funky smell like some of the casinos. 70 lane bowling alley and movie theater were on site.

The Oleans Hotel

A friend and Ihad a nice stay at The Orleans Hotel. Everything is cleaned and organized as it is supposed to be for a 3 star hotels. When you book make sure you book airlines tickets and hotel together. It is cheaper this way. I used coupons provided by the hotel for restaurants and bars in the hotels. The food is moderately good. I did not use much of the casino but like the atmostphere there. I did not know that there is 18.00 dollars charge for hotel when you check out. I think it is crazy and rediculous. I am not sure other hotels do the same. You need to bring your credit cards with you. When you check it, you will pay 100 dollars deposit. The hotel will refund you if you don't damage anything in the room. I don't recommend using the pool. Water is not cleaned as it should be. If you swim, don't swallow water. I think the hotel does not have the right amount of clorine and I am not sure how well the filter system works. The pool has a very nice size (maybe 40 meters from one long end to the other). The pool has an oval shape. The hotel also has a spa with hot water next to the pool. I like the gym with enough equipments for your workout. I did not use it, but did visit it.

Dining tip: Long walk from hotel

You can take a shuttle or taxi from your hotel or shuttle is provided from your hotel to the strip on Las Vegas Blvd. Depending on your choice of food, you can have a meal from 9.99 up to 14.99 / meal. If you need a alcohol beverage (wine, coctails), you will pay 5-8 dollars / drink. You can dine any where on the strip and watch people of around the world and hear different languages. It is very nice. Make sure you must pack a good pair of shoes of your feet will ache very bad. I and a girlfriend walked for 6 hours one day and 3 more hours the next day. Our feet "cried"!!!However, it is a very good excercise. When you walk a long the strip, there are people saling 1.00/bottle of water, do take advantage of it and buy a few with you. Because you do need lot of water. You can buy bottle of waters at souvenir shops along the strip but it cost 2.75 or more/20oz botle. Take your time and find good deals on gifts. You can by 4 shirts/10.00 dollars. There are plenty of shops to shop. Recommend that if you would want excellent deals, go to the Ross, you can find designed brands for way less money. Do gamble, but just for fun and know your limitations!!! You sure can go broke very quickly. Enjoy the trip.

Nice off strip casino/resort hotel

My wife and stayed here during the Memorial weekend this was are second time staying here, this hotel has a lot to offer for couples and for the family. It has a variety of resturants, bowling, swimming and a very large casino with just about every imagineable game they also have childcare. The only drawback is it is not on the strip but they do offer a shuttle to one of their casinos on the strip up until 12:30 at night. The staff is friendly and helpful we will stay again.

Great vacation

The only thing that I disliked about the hotel was that it was off the strip, which I knew it was when I booked it. Very friendly staff at the Orleans..it also didn't have a fridge in our room.
