Unbeatable price with nice large rooms

My wife & I went for our 9th anniversary & honestly were on a budget. The room was not a big priority. So we decided to stay @ The Orleans & loved it. Some of the reviews kind of scared us but decided what the heck. We were plesantly surprised. Although off the stip & surrounded but adult venues. The casino itself has a number of activites you can do. A movie theater, a 24hr bowling ally & a number of food choices. The service was nice. The room itself was quite large very clean & we had a great view of the strip. A reason why I only rated it 4 stars was the air conditioner started acting up on our 3rd day & unless you use valet the parking structure is far from the room, you can cut across an uncovered area which when we went was 108 degrees w/ a high humidity (not the greatest).

The hotel was just plain average, not much to hate considering the price, staff was friendly, except the pool manager was rude. Lots of stuff to do, pool, bowling, movies, and kids center

ORLEANS HOTEL-LAS VEGAS, NEVADA

The location is not too far from the strip. To get to the reception desk of the hotel, you have to take a LONG walk from the covered parking garage through the smokey casino. The ventilation is not very good. The rooms however are spot less and scent free. The pool area was clean although the pool looked like it needed to be filtered and the water was cloudy by 4 in the afternoon ( probably too much sunscreen in the water) The staff was very helpful and pleasant.
