Good accommodation but there are better places in Vegas
This hotel is too far from the where the action is on the strip. Moreover they charge for EVERYTHING, even for coffee in the room which is supposedly standard in all hotels! Overall the accommodation is good but man the walk to the strip back and forth was tiring. If you enjoy the strip like I do, try to stay in the other hotels.

Rooms are a little beat up
Shower water was always too hot. had them come look. Said a valve was replaced the night before and just had to run cold water thru the tub. That worked temporarily then it happened every time we showered. Furniture had knicks all over it and bedskirts looked like they had been clawed up. I expected better for a higher priced hotel.

Last minute getaway
After reading many reviews..we finally settled upon The Hotel at Mandalay Bay and we were pleasantly surprised. This was our first trip to Vegas as a couple and our first time staying on the strip. We arrived on 1/19/2013 for a 3 night stay and had no check in or check out issues. The front desk representatives were very friendly and efficient. The first thing we noticed was how clean and sophisticated the entrance was and there was a nice fragrance in the air that was comforting. The suite was clean and much larger than we expected. The only small issue was that the picture quality of the television in the living room area. We were not in our room very much so it was not a deal breaker. The other 2 televisions worked fine. We would definitely stay here again.

business experience was ok at best
Asked for a room away from the elevator, was given room nest to the elevator. Ice machine on the floor was broken, had to call for off site help to connect to the internet, cell phone cold not pick up wifi, charge $28.00 extra per night for this usage and it was poor at best. Location great for business.

Good for business travel
I am not a fan of casinos or having to walk through them. I am usually in a hurry and THE hotel provides a nice venue with easy access to cabs and the ability to never walk through a casino to and from my room. The mini-suite room is also nice for business travel with a small living space, guest bath and closing bedroom door.

Beautiful Suite for the price of a standard
Very comfortable suites at THEHotel which would be a good value at the $200/night range but for the price we paid ($100/night) it is an absolute steal. Beware of the $25/day resort fee, typical for MGM Properties. If you are looking for heart-of-the-strip type action, this location isn't it, too far south. But that can be a plus as well since you'll have easy access to cheaper dining, gaming and amenities a short drive away. Rooms are immaculate, well-designed and lack only a fridge to keep your drinks cold.

Large and tasteful rooms
If you're planning on staying at Mandalay Bay, definitely check out THEhotel. There's no gambling in this part of Mandalay so it's quieter. The room I stayed in was large (two rooms), well-appointed, and very clean. There was a guest bathroom and the main bathroom was large with a big tub and a separate shower. The only downside is Mandalay is at the far South end of the strip and it's not quite as hip as the Cosmopolitan. However, there's a tram to Luxor and Excalibur where you can take the walkways to MGM which connects to the monorail. Finally, the gym and spa at Mandalay are excellent and (given Vegas prices) a bargain at $25 / day.
