Perfect!
Our suite was beautiful, I loved it! It was super clean. It's a bit of a distance from the strip, but there is so much you can do within the Mandalay Place that it's hardly matters. Too bad we didn't stay long enough to enjoy everything! I certainly would recommend it to a friend.

not good, arrived at 3pm checkin time, was told there were no rooms ready and would have to wait, but they were being cleaned, and i would get a text when the room was available. one hour later, no text, so i see another lady who was waiting go up and talk to the concierge and she gets her room, so i go up and ask why i haven't gotten a text since i got there first and the concierge said, "oh, the room happened to be ready just now", sure it did? walking up to the room, the hallway spelled like feces, wanted to gag, the room had a similar smell that dissipated later after coming back to the room hours later.

Mini suite layout great.Always met for drinks in our rooms before going out to dinner. 12 people. Maid did a great job , cleaning up after us.Extra Pillows, extra towels , were promptly provided. One thing, to get a corkscrew, it took 35 minutes and there was a $2.50 , charge .That should be in the bar to begin with. It's a plastic corkscrew?? !!!!!!

Nice Rooms But Not A 5 Star Experience
Let me start by saying THE hotel has great rooms. All rooms are a full suite with living room and bedroom. It is clean and well kept. We did find some things odd in this hotel though. For starters, each room has a Keurig coffee maker in it, but there is a charge (about $4) if you make yourself a coffee. Very odd for a "5 Star" hotel as almost every hotel I stay in has a complimentary coffee maker. This is especially odd considering you pay a daily Resort Fee to stay at THE hotel. They also pump a perfume of some sort into the public areas of the hotel. This is far from subtle, when you walk into the hotel it hits you like a ton of bricks - it's very overpowering. I have light asthma, and it did irritate my lungs. Even my Wife found it too much. Breakfast was also included with our package for one morning of the stay, but no one was quite sure what that entailed. We were told to eat at the Buffet, but our credit wouldn't have covered the cost of the meal, we were then told just to eat at any restaurant and $40.00 would be deducted from our bill. When we went to check out the credit had not been applied, no one knew how to do it, or how the program even worked. They finally gave us a credit against our room rate to "fix it". This was a real surprise as this hotel is owned by MGM Resorts who owns a number of the mega resorts on the strip. You'd think they'd have something like this figured out by now.

TheHotel at Mandalay Bay
It was during the week and was OK. I have stayed there before when it first opened and the rooms are starting to show wear and tear. The food and drink is exorbitantly expensive. $30 for two bourbon and cokes is cray. I can see it in the cubs, but not in the hotel casino bar. Will I go back? Yes. But unless things change, I will start looking at other options.

Aureole - If you are a true wine aficionado, then Aureole is the place in Vegas to go. 10,000 bottle wine tower and several cellers to back it up. Wine list is so expansive that it is on computer tablets... Food is good and the wines by the glass are decent enough.

Relaxing and luxurious
You'll notice your entrance into TheHotel immediately walking from Mandaly's casino. It goes from a nice casino to a totally modern exclusive lobby. Everything about TheHotel screams upscale, modern, and most importantly, comfortable. The regular one bedroom suite has all necessary amenities for a 1 to 2 day stay. The bed is comfy, the shower and bath are clean, and the living room is excellent for entertaining a few guests. It is probably the farthest hotel on the strip, but with the monorail, access to the middle of the strip is fairly easy. You'll have to cab back because the monorail closes at midnight. Furthermore, you also get to hang out at Mandaly's amazing pool. During our stay, we did visit the aquarium... It would have been better without all of the screaming kids, but hey, what else is a kid going to do in Vegas? Overall I recommend TheHotel to anyone looking for a mellow, clean, and relaxing Vegas experience.

Great hotel
The Hotel is really just part of Mandalay Bay and just steps from Mandalay's casino floor, but once you pass the threshold into The Hotel, to drastic change in atmosphere is amazing. You are suddenly in a calm, warm, and sophisticated setting with a smell of fresh flowers that fills every inch of the lobby and surrounding areas. Staff was great, rooms were nice, spa was awesome.

Nice Hotel with great pool!
Everything at the hotel was really nice from the restaurants to the pool to the rooms. My only major criticism is that the Casino and sports book area was very smoky and seemed to not ventilate very well. Other casinos I went to did a better job of getting the cigarette smell out.
