Good Experience

This hotel was very accommodating. The room was comfy and clean. My boyfriend and I didn't stay to long because we had an early flight the next morning, but our overall stay was very satisfactory. We did notice that the hotel is quite a walk from the strip, just something to keep in mind!

Extra night in Vegas

I had to book a last minute extra night in Vegas and this was the best deal I found. Besides being located father from the best areas in the strip the room was clean, nice and really just what I needed (as in a bed and shower). If you're just looking for an average hotel with decent prices this is it. They also have the tower that gives you a view of the strip from above. Buffet was pretty good.

You can buy passes for the RTC buses that run on the strip, there is a stop right outside the hotel. Saves money on cab fare to the other side of the strip.

Great Place To Stay

We enjoyed the Statosphere, the rooms were nice and the pool area was great. the only draw back was being so far down the strip. As soon as new casino goes up where Sahara was, it will help put Statosphere in the mix of things again.

Oh and don't let the taxi drivers "long haul" you

The hotel was great. Normally I would give it a 5 for value but they had no shows during my stay. If I would have known Frankie and Clair would be out of town I would have stayed at the Luxor for the discounted show tickets there. We picked the Stratosphere with the understanding we would have Frankie tickets available for $19.99 and were a little disappointed. Even the concierge thought he was there until we tried to buy tickets. Oh and don't let the taxi drivers "long haul" you. It should be about $17 to and from the airport not $35. Just ask to take Paradise rd or they will try and drive you all around town. I felt like I as being taken advantage of on our first cab ride. I knew we passed the hotel a came at it from the wrong direction but the driver would not listen to my direction. Turns out (after taking to another driver) they do that. They think if your dumb enough to be taken advantage of you deserve it. Overall we had an amazing time. I will stay there again.

Get a bus pass for touring the strip or rent a car for the trip. Everything looks closer than it is and you don't want to miss out on things because you tried to walk to everything all day. The bus is great! If you have a car don't be afraid to drive down to the next destination because it's free parking everywhere.

its was ok

like I said in the title it was okay.there was a ton of cigarette smoke in the casino. most of the other casinos handle that problem pretty well. overall I did have a good time. This was my first trip to Vegas.going up to the top of the tower was pretty awesome.

Needs some work

Overall the service was lacking or very poor. Everything seemed to be over priced and a very poor value. The only redeeming aspect of the hotel was the rides on top.

so much fun

it really makes sense that why the stratosphere locates a little bit far away from the most energetic part of the strip. You would know it when you claim up to the 109 FL observation site, especially at night. That is a beautiful view of the whole vegas from there, not to mention those exciting amenities. Guests have benefits for entering the tower freely, and they can buy tickets of the two shows in the hotel at half price. The price of the room is pretty cheap also. If you cannot afford those mega casinos at the heart of the strip, I highly recommend the stratosphere.

We had a blast!!

The Stratosphere is the best place to stay in Vegas! The room was modern and very clean. The restaurant options were terrific - all the way from McDonald's to the five star Top of the World. We sat at the bar and ate at McCall's - delicious! We had dinner at Fellini's - fabulous food and service! With our Ace player cards we received free tickets to the buffet because we earned 200 points playing in their casino so we had brunch in the morning. We were there for three days and only received one free buffet so we had breakfast at McDonald's on the other mornings. We also received free admission to either Pin Up or Frankie Moreno because we earned over 900 points playing in their casino. It was my husband's birthday so we ate at The Top of the World restaurant and loved the sky high, spinning view of Las Vegas. After dinner we went up the observation deck - it was fun to see the people riding the rides way up there. We had to take a cab to the strip, but didn't mind - we would absolutely recommend the Stratosphere to our friends and family. It's a great place to stay and play (oh, yeah, by the way, I won $1,000 on video poker at the center bar!).
