The location of the hotel is not good at all very ghetto! But I had already figured that from previous trips to Las Vegas the staff were awesome I can say that! I personally won't stay again I will pay the difference to stay in the center of the strip

Vegas Life

We came to Vegas for the first time. We decided to stay here because of the pricing. When we arrived we realized this hotel was away from the MAIN point of the strip. At first we were very disappointed. I can honestly say I cant wait to stay here again. The restaurants were amazing, rooms were very clean, room service was excellent.

Stratosphere

Clean room. When you stay a the hotel go to the observation tower for free. I won $130 on slot machine at hotel. Stratsphere is at the north end of the strip a bit of a way from the center of the strip. But you can buy an $8.00 bus pass for 24-hours that takes you up & down the strip and to Freemont. Bus stop by hotel.

You get what you pay for.

Stratosphere was cheap and the beds were comfortable, so I have nothing really to complain about, but my decision to stay there left me wanting. Glad we had mellow neighbors around us for the most part, because you can hear EVERYTHING in every room. On the last night some night owls checked in above us and kept us awake until 4 a.m. Check in and check out was smooth ("resort" fee came to $117 for 7 days FYI). If you are bothered by cigarette smoke, then stay in a hotel that is non-smoking. Even with a non-smoking room, you can't really get away from the smoke. Nice bar at the top of the tower, and nice pool area. The buffet was fine and filled you up. Bad part of town, and I don't recommend walking around by yourself or ever in the dark. As I said in my title, you get what you pay for. No major complaints and no major shout outs.

Good for the price

I've read prior reviews and wasn't expecting much, but our room got upgraded to a suite upon check-in and it was a lot more than I was expecting.... So I guess that makes my review kind if biased. Regardless, I think it's good bang for your buck.

Long Awaited Vacation

Hotel was okay. The drain in sink was clogged. They did fix it but left a disgusting black ring that we had to clean. Disappointed that though we were staying there for a week, there was no "appreciation" for it. We were checking in around 2:00, and after waiting in line for over 20 minutes, was told that if we wanted a room key we would have to pay 10.00 for early check in. Needless to say, we did not pay 10.00 and came back later to get our key.

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

Get the bus pass, 8.00 for 24 hours, and you have access to everything. Go to Fremont Street, less expensive for everything and entertainment is much better.
