The Stratosphere is at the end of the strip so the traffic is down and its easy to get in and out. The room was newly renovated only issue I thought the toilet was gonna suck you down when it flushed. The maids got lazy since we stayed for the week. I think all they did was change sheets and towels. They didn't clean or vacuum. We had a great time watching their show pin up. Didn't get the chance to see the tower since we were all over the place seeing shows. We couldn't hear our neighbors and the room was smoke free.checkout wss a breeze on thd tv. 123 and ur done

Not to bad, at the far end of the strip.
If you want to be walking distance to all the fun be prepared to do some walking. The area around is not that great either. But if you just going for a place to sleep and a decent hotel it's alright.

the good and the bad
We stayed at this hotel for a week. Kind of disappointed in the location of the hotel but at the same time appreciated that it was away from all of the people and all of the noise. Our room was clean and quiet. The staff was helpful. Could have gone without being pestered EVERY time we walked by the information desk, about timeshare stuff. annoying. I would stay at this hotel again just because of the spectacular view and the price. Overall am happy with our decision.

The restaurant in the Hard Rock Hotel, Lucky's, has something that is called the gamblers special. It is not on the menu. you have to have a players card to get this deal. Its a steak, shrimp, mashed potatoes, and a salad for $7.77. with no players card its $10. you have to ask for it! ;)

The hotel is definitely OK! I loved the buffee restaurant. The only negative thing is it is at the far end of the Strip so a little bit far from the "central" hotels.

Friend's Vegas Wedding
The check in process was slow. We were "upgraded" to a newer/redone room. This meant we had a great view of the parking lot. We couldn't even see over it. We decided to take advantage of the facilities as there is an additional charge for useage of the pool and fitness center. Something we felt should be included. The pool was average. Nothing too exciting. The fitness center was horrid. It reminded me of a basement that a few pieces of equipment was thrown into. The weights on the bench lifting bar couldn't even be changed due to the poor set up and a beam that was in the way. Two of the three tredmills were broken. There is no bathroom to use, no music and although there was a water dispenser it was empty and there was no one taking care of the facility. A huge fail. The casino was smaller which was nicer in that it was quick to get through. The buffet was average. The location is really far off the strip. It is a $15 taxi to the strip or get a monorail pass and a 20 min walk to the monorail. Not an overall good value for the money.

If you are going to do cirque shows call the hotel and try to get the tickets. Always ask for a discount. We got a 30% discount for LOVE by just asking and it was by far the best part of our trip!

Old Hotel
I'm not sure exactly how old this hotel is but it seemed as if it needed a complete renovation 10 years ago. The rides and sky jump on the top of the tower were fun as well as the casino floor. The hotel in general just seemed really old, and it didn't help that it wasn't within walking distance to the main part of the strip.

Not what I was hoping for but doable
although adaquate thought there would be more wow factor. Charged for internet, no mini fridge or microwave in room. Things were a bit dingy and not as well kept as they could have been. Wobbly table, broken electrical faceplates, holes in top of dresser where something use to be attached.
