Great price for an okay room

You can't beat the value and I would definitely return if I have to go back to Vegas. Be prepared for a basic room with basic TV and an extra "resort fee" for the "free" wifi. Also hold your breadth as you make your way through the smoke-filled casino to get to the elevator.

Sam's Town Hotel accommodation needs some work

Arrived from airport at 7:30 am & was told we couldn't check in until 10am. Went for breakfast at buffet (good selection -a little pricey). Back to check in at 10 am & was told room wasn't ready - come back at 11:30. Went back & got assigned a room - we had requested a premier room with a fridge & coffee maker - this room had neither - was told we could rent them for $30 / day . We were told that "someone" didn't enter the info properly re: the type of room we requested & paid for on this provider's site even though I had the printed confirmation of that request. They FINALLY moved us into the requested room at 3:30 in the afternoon after 2 additional visits to the front desk - no compensation for the error or the delay was offered. The rooms are very dated & need some attention. Only 1 of 2 elevators to the rooms was working & no security checks to keep non-guests from accessing the rooms as in other hotels. Will definitely NOT stay there again.

An excellent value for a comfortable casino resort.

An exceptional value away from the hustle with everything you really need in a LV place to stay as long as you have a car. (they do have a free shuttle) Done the big names on the strip and I so much more enjoy staying at Sam's Town. More than adequate buffet is a bargain. Great steak house & good Mexican. TGI Friday's is just OK. 24hr. deli. McD's on site. RV parking. Would be nice if they had in room coffee makers, fridge/micro but I understand they want the restaurant revenue. Good poker room with 3 tournaments daily. Don't fall for the atrium view premium cost rooms. They are noisy and the outer views are so much better. Ask for a 8th or 9th floor. If you had to bring the kids, there's plenty to keep them entertained. Nice pool. Movie theatres. Shopping and other eateries nearby.

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

Just a short 10-15min. scoot west on Flamingo if you have to go to the strip. About the same north on Boulder Hwy to the Fremont.
