Great Experience!

The hotel is located in a great spot! Its close enough to the strip for the excitement, but far enough away from the chaos as well! I will definitely be staying there soon!

Excellent Staff

This is a nice place to stay if you aren't in Vegas for the casinos and just want a peaceful place to stay. What made it stellar was the staff. Every single person I spoke with from front desk to the maids was friendly and helpful. The fixtures in the room are a bit dated, but the rooms were spotless -- and cleanliness is much higher on my list.

best value for your price.

If you are looking for a nice clean quite place to stay for a great price, this is your spot. Easy to get from the freeway and the parking lot is very easy to navigate even with s trailer. The lobby was clean and quite. The staff was very pleasant to work with. I requested a room higher up facing the pool and they were more than happy to give me exactly what I wanted. There is no casino in the hotel so it is very quite as well as no smoking in the hotel as well, a huge plus. The elevators were clean and very fast. The rooms were clean and being so high up and on the other side of the hotel from the road were very quite. We never heard anyone in the hallway or above us or through the walls. The ac was a tad noisy but steady do it was easy to fall asleep to it. It also drowned out the noise from the pool. The beds were decent hotel beds, a little firm for my taste but not bad. The bathrooms were decent and the shower had good pressure and plenty of hot water. The curtains kept the room dark so we were able to sleep well into the morning. The pool was nice and cool in the 110 degree weather and big enough to not be crowded. No diving board but it does go to 8' deep. There are private cabanas, one with a tv. They also kept the pool towels stocked. The Encore and the Riviera are across the street if you want to gamble. The is a Walgrens across the street as well. The concierge service and the hotel looked nice but we didn't use them. Well definitely stay there again every year.

Ideal Veh=gas Poker Players Getaway

Our second stay at the Royal; which should say something. We've stayed at all the big strip hotels over the years but when you remember that you mainly sleep there, we wondered why we spent the money. The Royal is a time share resort or an average standard - probably a converted hotel from the 70's but it's fine. Check in is extremely fast, unlike the Venetian, the staff are helpful and you don't get any time share sales pitches at all. Location is good being just 5 minutes walk from the Wynn poker room! And there is a Denny's just across the road which is perfect for breakfast at 3pm! Or dinner at 4am!!! The room is as expected and as you see in the photos. Adequate comes to mind. A/C is standard and needed in the summer months and the mini fridge is a great help if you take tea bags and use milk...or beer! Overall the place is clean, tidy, very quiet and the maid service is flexible...although our cleaner seemed unable to dust! Other than that a great place to stay at not a lot of money. We'll be going back there again for sure!

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Denny's just over the road. But portions are typically American sized so we went for the "Senior" menu...much smaller portions and far more manageable for European stomachs!
