Not flashy, just old and quiet.

They said over the phone that we could check in early but when we arrived they made us wait 3 hours and weren't nice about it. Casino waitress were very few and we didnt get served even after we asked. We gambled for over two hours and couldn't get a drink so we to a different casino and got served 4 times in 1 hour. The two for one comedy show was good but the riviera comedy club was dark and dingy. We didn't care to spend any time in the casino and spent very little money there. It was just too old and lame and no service. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and our room had a good view. The house keeping was good and did everything that we asked.

Dining tip: Long walk from hotel

Most of the good food and restaurants were down in the middle or south end of the strip. A rental car was a big plus during our stay. The Riviera, World Buffet was a little expensive and we got half price buffets at other casinos by signing up for their players clubs.

Vegas vacation 2010

To start I'm not a picky person, I knew with a 3 star hotel, that there would be areas needing attention. At check in the lady rushed through the direction to the room as if I was an inconvience to her. So it was very confusing to get to our room, which was in a completely different building. Upon entering the room, I noticed there was long black hair on the bathroom floor behind the toilet, near the tub and under the vanity. There was food on the floor under the desk that was still there when we left. On Saturday we did not receive maid service. The bartender service at the main lounge was horrible on Sunday. Asked if he could turn the TV so we could watch the race and he said no, there was people watching the football game (there was no one else there) The whole 1000.00 slot play is a joke. You get a dollar.

Good hotel, great price, [...]

The Riviera is old, the parking structure is a LONG way from the front desk, but our room in the "classic" room was close to the parking, far from the blvd. The hotel is dated, but the room was great, is exceeded my expectations a lot! nice bed, great showerhead, ipod player that charged my iphone was a huge plus. Overall the room was great. [...]

Location and Transportation

Not enough stuff working in the registration desk that causing long waiting line. Hard to find a Taxi in the hotel without calling the Taxi service and location is kind off the central of the Vegas Blvd. my friend room toilet wouldn't flush half of time and bath tun kind of drain very slow. I have a suit but the design it too traditional. Overall, what you pay what you get. If you like traditional design, might a good choice. Nice pool and Room service are great.
