Silly lady
Very unhappy with rooms
The first room we were given the carpet had just been shampooed. It was wet and smelled terrible. We tried to stay in it but after slipping on the bathroom floor and having wet socks we asked the Manager to change our room. We were given a room in another tower. The room was nice but the air conditioner was extremely noisy and woke us up during the night every time it came on. It was the old fashioned wall unit. Restaurant we ate breakfast in was terrible. Service was not great and bacon and hash browns were deep fried. Only choice in toast was white, wheat or English muffin. Not a nice place to stay.

For the price this place is great!!
The hotel is on the north end of the strip but it was not a problem getting to where all the good stuff was, a $10 taxi ride took us to the MGM in a bout 5 minutes. The food in the hotel was good and the slots were hitting!!! This hotel was my first stay in Vegas and I was very happy with it. If you're trying to party on a budget STAY HERE. We got free tickets to the comedy club and it was great. The pool was nice. The hotel is older but very well kept!!

Was the only reasonably priced hotel available for a last minute vacation. Very old hotel. Took an extra half hour at check-in saying they couldnt find the reservaton. Room inside was much cleaner than outside. Decent value.

We needed to stay near the convention center. This is why it was a prefect location. We didn't really use the amenities. For a one night stay it was great. One complaint, they only had smoking rooms available when we got there. We had to get an upgrade and pay for it.

Check in trouble
We checked in around 8:00 pm on Saturday night. Clerk issued us keys to a room that was occupied. We walked in and realized that it was full of luggage, etc... Very creepy feeling. Desk clerk had zero empathy and blamed it on the guests sneaking back in. Poor answer and horrible feeling regarding our own safety and security. It was late, we stayed one night. Never again.

Riviera Hotel Stay
In the past when we have stayed in Las Vegas it was in the "front" end and the newer hotels. I was very surprised by our stay at the Riveria. The rooms were nice, the value excellent and it was neat looking at the photographs of stars that have entertained there over the years. Lots of history. The casino is a little dated where it doesn't have the lights and glitter of the newer casinos but I will stay there again.
