steakhouse on 50th floor - is special
This hotel is OK - rooms are clean and spacious. It's a little far from the strip - withing 15 minutes of walking. The most remarkable thing is the steakhouse on the 50th floor of the hotel. The food was amazing and stuff was very good. Also it's a very beautiful view from the inside and especially from the open patio. So bottom line - steakhouse - highly recommended. In general - OK hotel.

Needs work...
I dont gamble, so I was over walking a long way through the casino to the car. I had to take cold showers 2 mornings out of 3. Seems like the water dried my skin out, by the last day I could not live in my skin without almost scratching it off. My stay at the Rio made me say, "it's time to get out of Vegas".

I'd Definitely Stay Again
Rio Hotel was a very pleasant stay for my wife and me. We like quiet and arent much of travelers. This was our first time in Vegas and went out to the Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekend and Car Show. The hotel room was HUGE! We were on the 24th floor and had a perfect view of the strip and the mountains. Rio is off the main strip in vegas and the shuttles went to Ballys and Harrahs. We took advantage of them one time. The staff at Rio was there is needed but we never felt like they went out of their way to say hi or see if we needed anything, which was fine for the two of us. The casino at Rio was great. The dealers were all pretty personable and friendly. Shows were given nightly for the guests and they have some really talented people working there. This place was PERFECT for what we wanted, a CLEAN COMFORTABLE place to stay. Personally I would give it 5 Stars. If you want a great place to stay that is very reasonable with price I would highly recommend RIO. Next year if we go to the show again we will most definitely stay at the RIO Hotel and Casino!!

Horrible Check In
We arrived to the hotel at around midnight. There was a line of a dozen people with two clerks. The clerks were in no rush. If someone wanted to just break into line to ask a question they would allow it instead of waiting on those who wanted to check in. It took us 45 minutes from the time we walked into the hotel until we arrived in the room. Horrible experience.
