GOOD WEEKEND
I liked the hotel I wish there was a discount for the tower rooms instead of the courtyard. It was a nice hotel with friendly staff. I would stay there again but I would rent a car to get around b/c cabs don't come often and the shuttle runs hours apart.

Short drive from hotel
Want to be on the strip don't stay here but if you don't mind waiting awhile for a cab or the free shuttle then go ahead but it was still a great stay!

The hotel was not bad, their given us a courtyard's which I didn't like it, we had to carrier the suitcases upstairs because there is no elevator. That wasn't my best vacation experience

Hotel
The room was in the older part of the hotel, was noisy and uncomfortable. Initially, the TV did not work and the hair dryer was inoperable. There were not enough towels and it just seemed like the room was really cramped.

It was not worth it.
They accomodated my family and I at two story building. It was old building and smell bad. When I spoke to front dask agent, they balmed to website. They suggested me to buy directly from their website. It was terrible experience and we will never go back to Hotel again. I will not be recommenting on this Hotel.

Won't ever stay there again ...
The staff at this hotel are very polite, helpful and pleasant. When we arrived at the hotel (late due to missing our connecting flight due to weather), we were told that the room we had booked next to friends that had already been at the hotel was no longer available because we were late (even though we were told that we had late arrival guarantee). The room we got had a "highway" view and the noise was very loud. There was a distinct smell of sulfer (or sewage) in the room, the fan did not work in the bathroom and the blow dryer did not work. Even though the staff tried to accomodate us, there were no other rooms available and we were struck with this one. We literally stayed in the room to sleep and shower - spent an average of 6 hours a day in it. Knowing that any of this would have happened, I would have spent extra $ to stay in a better hotel for my first visit to Vegas!!!

This was one of worse stays I have ever had. The room was dirty, small and for a non smoking room it smelled so bad of smoke I had a headache for two days. The food was bad and just a really bad experience!!!! I would rate this experience a big fat zero.

First Vegas Trip
First things is, the bed skirt to the bed had some stains all around it, the room was non smoking but it smelt like an ashtray as soon as we walked in. The hotel is not what was advertised on the website and when we called down for room service they forgot about us until we called a second time and lastly I was not given back my full deposit when we literally cleaned the room before we left, down to the garbage because that's what kind of people we are

You get what you pay for
The Palace Station appeared to be a beautiful hotel judging from the pictures, conveniently located off the freeway, close to the convention center and cheap. So I took the plunge. Parking was close and convenient. You exit the elevator from the parking garage, walk through an air conditioned hallway and arrive at the hotel lobby. You could tell it's a 'smoking' facility, which should not surprise anyone. The hotel lobby was attractive and the staff there was friendly and helpful. I was booked into one of the Courtyard rooms. To get to the Courtyard rooms you have to exit the main hotel and walk across a driveway. Upon entering, the hallway had a sickly sweet chemical smell. The hall ceilings were low and make you feel claustrophobic. The room was small with a kingsize bed. The carpet was worn and dirty along the edges but the TV, an oldie but goodie, worked fine. The bathroom, though small, was very nicely done with tile floor and a small tiled shower in one corner. The only bad part was that the shelf above the sink was slightly tilted. The room also had an iron that made pressing my shirts a snap. The room had a small 2x3 work table with one uncomfortable chair. I would also recommend, if you stay here, to stay on the 2nd floor. Otherwise, you will hear the people above you come and go. A big plus was have a namebrand coffee shop in the lobby. One morning the staff person that helped my was quite cheerful and friendly but the next day, when I was 7 minutes early, I was sternly told 'Not til 6 sir'. They were too busy discussing their previous night activities to pay any attention to me. It wasn't so bad that I left after one night, but I will not be returning to this facility. And, it's quite possible the $20 upgrade rooms are quite nice. I should have made that move right away. Recommendations to the hotel staff: 1) steam clean the carpets including the hallways 2) get rid of the 'popcorn' ceilings 3) install latches on the doors besides the main lock 4) clean the elevators that serve the parking garage 5) replace threadbare carpets and bedding 6) upgrade ancient TVs 7) show accurate room pictures in your advertising
