Great pick!
My husband and I went for our anniversary and we had a great time! We had a clean room overlooking the strip and there was plenty going on at NYNY that we did not have to leave the hotel if we didn't want to. I would definietly recommend a friend, especially for the price.

Everything you need
I stayed at this hotel with a large group, we were there for a bachelorette party. We planned dinners at the hotel, and they were very accommodating to our group (it was also easy to get ready and just walk downstairs in minimal time). We utilized the pool reservations to save chairs. The location is also great, with crosswalks to MGM and Excalibur (Thunder Down Under show). We didn't spend a huge amount of time in our rooms (which you shouldn't be doing in Vegas anyway). The rooms were all they needed to be, two double beds, had irons and hair dryers, were cleaned every day, we just called for extra towels. Would have appreciated a mini fridge, but we survived without. Considering it was March Madness weekend, the price was great (of course we were splitting it between a lot of people, so that made it even better). We had a miscommunication about a dining credit promotion, but were able to sort it out on the phone later.

Our experience was a very pleasant one at New York New York. The hotel staff was very friendly and efficient. Rooms were very clean. The feel of the hotel was a fun one. We had stayed at a more 'posh hotel' on my companies dime and moved to New York New York on our dime and had a much better experience. Many eating areas to enjoy with plenty of seating. The bar scene was a fun one with music and signing. Was a short walk to other fun things to see on the strip.

When there are lines; always head to the left. Many people are right handed are inclined to head in that natural direction. We have used this in many travels. Disney, TSA lines, and many more.

Great Place to Stay
This hotel is located in a great location on the strip near MGM, Excalibre and Monte Carlo. It also has easy access to the Monorail for exploring the other locations. It has a great section of restraunts for grabbing a quick bite or relaxing and enjoying a sit down meal. We will definitely be staying here again in the future.

Good hotel with minor niggle
After an upgrade from our original room, which looked onto a brick wall right outside the window, to a strip view we were more than happy with the change. The registration clerk was extremely pleasant and made the change with the minimum of fuss. The location of the hotel was in an excellent position, not too far from the airport and towards one end of the Strip with local buses just a short walk away. TIP: buy a $20 3 day pass because some of the drivers are entertainment alone with their comments during the journeys. Our only problem with this hotel was with the restaurants. Apart from the Italian restaurant, the remainder were mainly burger/pizza bars and in the America restaurant neither of us were able to eat the different courses we ordered, which is a first for us. So I would suggest that if you want something different from burgers etc you try elsewhere. The amenities in the NYNY are too many to list but will keep anyone entertained throughout there stay. All the staff we encountered were extremely polite and helpful and Olga, our room cleaner did an excellent job. The NYNY is a relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff and we would definitely return, once our bank balance has recovered!
