Bang for your buck

The NYNY in Vegas is a great hotel right on the strip. The hotel and casino area are very good. I would recommend this hotel to every who can't afford $150.00 per meal such as Bellagio, Venecian, Wynn, etc. This hotel has everything a person needs.

Family getaway

The stay was good! Location was great and price was reasonable. Loved the beds, super comfy! The two downer points were wifi is included in the resort fee of $20 however the wifi didn't connect during the stay. Also another downer was there was no buffet in this hotel. We went to a small "buffet" at their Asian restaurant. And it was dissatisfying and very, very small. I mean small that there were probably like 10 things to choose from and that was it.

Great stay in NYNY

It always takes us a while to walk to the north strip for the shopping malls and attractions as this hotel located at the south of the strip. There are not many dining choices here. However, the room is spacious and clean. We enjoyed our stays here. :)

40th Birthday Party

Hotel room had a fantastic view of the Strip and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Gallaghers Steakhouse is certainly worth a visit the food, staff and service are amazing. The Bar at Times Square has the Sax Man who is a great entertainer and duelling piano show also a great crowd pleaser. All in all a great place to celebrate my nephews 40th birthday along with family and friends. Can't wait to go back!

Great bargain on good place to stay

Check in was painless and quick. All the people we came in contact with, even the maids, were super nice and friendly. We did not turn the TV on until the 3rd day, and it was not working. Called the front desk, and within 5 minutes there was a maintenance man knocking on the door. Turned out that the cord was loose, but looked connected so the fix was quick. Nice maintenance man, very efficient and friendly. Room was clean, and all we needed. After all, you don't really spend that much time in there. Bed was really comfortable, and the pillows were the kind I like...the kind you can mush to the shape you want, not those horrible foam ones. Parking was pretty close; from self park to the lobby was only a few minutes. We ate the breakfast buffet at the asian themed place...can't remember the name, but the limited selection was very good. Another bfast at the America...made to order food was excellent also. Only complaint was that the pool was closed at 6. We would have loved to go for a dip or in the hot tub when we returned at night after a day of walking. Location on the strip was close to the end, but that did not bother us. We actually walked all the way to Wynn and back a couple times during our stay. One other complaint is the "resort fee" that all the places charge these days. All the things that were once free with the room now cost $20 per day whether you use them or not. I guess it was either that or they raise room rates. It is just a little sneeky to post a room rate to get you in and spring the fee on you after you check in. Remember that this is typical of all the hotels, so the complaint is not just with NY. We never dropped a penny in the casino; your odds of winning is better throwing the money in the fountains out front. At least they say the money there goes to charity. The desert is beautiful, and there are national parks, museums and other things that are much more entertaining in the Vegas area than sitting in a noisy casino. Don't miss eating at the Sugar Factory. Fantastic food, reasonable price.

Sugar Factory for at least one meal. Dont miss the fried Mac and Cheese...the dipping sauce is fantastic. Wife and I shared entrees and we were stuffed. Meatball sub was beyond words great, and their burger is fantastic. Prices are very reasonable, especially considering you will drop $30 for a couple hot dogs at Pinks. Red Rock is close, but dont miss Valley of Fire...it is Red Rock on steroids. We spent days wandering the trails. Hoover dam is awe-inspiring. Mob Museum was fascinating. Clark County Museum should not be missed...it is the bargain of the century...we are over 60 so it cost $1 each. Springs Preserve is great for kids and adults as well...lots of hands-on exhibits.

In the center of EVERYTHING!

You're gonna love this place! From check-in to check-out, it's easy and convenient! The room is spacious and immaculate. There is so much to do and see--right there in the hotel. Right across the street is the MGM grand where you can jump right on the Monorail and get to anywhere on the strip you like in no time! Being in the center of the Vegas Strip has it's advantages too-- you can pretty much walk to anywhere! I would most definitely stay at this hotel again!

Great stay at hotel for the price and location

Enjoy our stay very much. Clean room, bed very comfortable, and the location was excellent. Quick access to the north and south end hotels, Excalibur up to Mandalay Bay, the Monte Carlo to Aria, and quick hop on the Deuce further out. The New York New York was lively and we enjoyed the free craps table lesson._
