Disappointed group of couples
Never again
This hotel had great reviews and definitely didn't live up to them. We got there at 11 am and couldn't get a room until 5pm. The staff was not accomodating at all and the dealers weren't nice at all. The pool is much smaller apparently because of a new hotel (according to a taxi driver) and there were only 7 cabanas reserved for the high rollers. The spa was over priced and staff also very not accomodating. Ended up staying at the pool and going to the spa in eX caliber (both highly recommended!). This experience really ruined our trip and I will never stay at Monte Carlo again! Over priced and reviews way too good from my experience!

Horrible!
I wouldn't stay there again!
This list is too long to include everything but the highlights.........My room wasn't ready when I got there. It wasn't ready for 3 hours. There are additional fees that you have to agree to pay when you check in. I was told the $25 meal credit would be deducted from my hotel cost upon checkout if I didn't use it at the hotel. That's not the case. The decor is outdated. The TV is old. The best thing about the hotel is that it's clean. other than that not much going on for it. The location is horrible.

Keep after them until they get it right!
The Good: Location next to City Center is great and price was good even with the extra $9/day resort fee they make you pay even though you do not get much in the way of a resort experiance. The Bad: I reserved a deluxe strip view room and when checking in I asked if it was a strip view room and was told it was. Unfortunately the room only had a view of the freeway behind the hotel so we had to go back to the lobby and complain. They changed our room to one that had a great view of the strip but the sheets were stained, the pillow cases had makeup and some really nasty looking stains. They changed the sheets and pillow cases while we were out for dinner but the new ones were still yellowish. I parked right in front of a security camera in the parking structure and the next morning I had a broken window in my car. The hotel security officer took a report but told me that was all they would do and he said most of the security cameras in the parking structure do not work so there was no way to see what happened.

Not So Good!
I would not reccomend this hotel to anyone I know. If I would have had to pay full price I would have complained but got the room on a deal. The furniture was stained, the staff slow and unfriendly, the wall in our bathroom crumbling. Oh yeah the mini bar in the room was missing, the flat screen TV the promised oh yeah missing, and did I mention the room was dirty. Staff was for the most part corteous but acted like you bothered them when asking for something. Asked for a hairdryer that worked and the staff never brought it! They claim they are centrally located on the Strip... Not so much it is about a block from the Luxor on the far end of the Strip! Restaurants were expensive and the service sucked! Then to top it all off we got to come back to our room on the NON SMOKING FLOOR to the hall filled with the stnch of Cannabis being smoked!

the hotel and lobby is beautiful. The beds were terrible. I am a full time teacher and full time mom so i was looking forward to treating myself. My husband and i could not sleep on the beds because the bedding didn't fit. We literally found ourself sleeping on top of the mattress which is totally disgusting in my opinion. They use a flat sheet instead of a fitted sheet but the flat sheet isn't big enough. The pillows were terrible. The location is great, next to Bellagio and Aria. We ate at the Monte Carlo buffet and it was the first time i left a buffet hungry. It was unedible.

Monte Carlo Hotel to be AVOIDED!
The hotel was dirty. Someone had actually vomited in the hallway we had to walk down to get to our room. Now, that can happen anywhere, but they didn't take care of the smell, which was VERY evident for the five-day duration of our stay. Also, the molding was ripped completely off the door of our neighboring room and not fixed. Although I didn't use it, the room offered wired internet access, not wireless, and charged $14.95 per day to use it although we were told previously that the $12.95 per day resort fee was supposed to cover that. In short, an old hotel that is not well maintained.

Bad Review
This room Stinks!
I was given a room at the end of the hallway with a bad view. The people in the room next to us were super noisey, drunk and obnoxious. They hotel was able to give us a room within minutes at the other end of the hallway. It was quiet, and even had a better view, but then it smelled like somone was constantly blowing cigarette smoke into our room through the vent. It was clean, but the cigarette smoke was really bothersome. We had to freeze and leave the window open due to the cigarette smoke. We should have asked for another room.

Don't do it!!!
You might as well stay in a motel 6. Basically Monte Carlo looks beautiful from the outside. Even te lobby is great. The rooms a totally different story. Dirty, old, not updated and just dark and dingy from the minute u get off the elevator. Save the money and stay somewhere else. I was very disappointed. The beds were horrible hurt my back and u can feel the springs from the beds. The check in was also very slow.
