CityCenter's spruced-up neighbor keeps it fun and classy
"Unpretentiously luxurious" is the catchphrase used by Monte Carlo Resort and Casino, and it definitely holds true. This Las Vegas hotel pays homage to one of Europe's most lavish sites, but its new restaurants, bars, entertainers and penthouse-level boutique HOTEL32 mean you can use the words "opulent" and "swanky" in the same breath. Vegas comforts rounding out the Monte Carlo experience include a full spa, salon, serious fitness center and a pool deck with a lazy river, wave pool and cabanas (for a fee).
Highlights
  • Ideally situated on the Las Vegas Strip
  • BRAND Steakhouse serving creative classics with a casino view
  • Monte Carlo's Hotel 32 suites, among the very best on the Strip

Bad Hotel

Not a very pleasant experience. Don’t be fooled by Deluxe Room since there is nothing Deluxe about it since it smelled like astray and old musk. Lobby & Service staff was uncooperative and unpleasant; I would not recommend this hotel and will never stay there again.

We were so disappointed with our room. The beds were so uncomfortable and the pillows were worst, we woke up with neck cramps every morning. The web site photos of the rooms was not what we received. The only good thing about the room was the shower pressure in the bathroom.Ive been to vegas many times and this was the worst experience ever. i would not recommened this hotel for anyone. Our friends were staying at the mandalay and they let us stay with them on our last night. We have already booked our next vegas trip for june and we are definetly not staying at the monte carlo, we are staying at the mandalay.

So so!

The Monte Carlo seemed "old". Old furniture, old TV, poor beds; you name it. It definitely needs a rehab. In it's current state it is more of 3 star hotel at best. Perhaps less. Also, everything seemed expensive i.e. $10/drink. I would not recommend the location. The previous week I was at the Hilton in Grapevine, TX and got very spoiled.

Location was great, room was horrable!!!

I have not been on a vacation in over three years and am very disapointed in the room we were given. There was construction outside our room that woke us up at six in the morning, not very plesant after a long night! There were sex stains on the comforter and pubic hairs in the bath tub witch was pluged up that enable us to shower. Great way to start a vacation hey!!!!!!!! I am very disapointed and will tell friends and family never to book any vacation plans with you!!!!!!

Vegas The worst vacation ever!

This was one of the worst vacations ever. The hotel, the Monte Carlo was rated 4 star... Baloney! It was at best a 2 star if that. The first room had black mold growing on all the bathroom fixtures! We requested a new room so our second one was on a lower floor and a smaller room. During the day the windows rattled from the rap and hip hop music they play all day at the pool in order to drown out the jack hammers and construction noise! the food at the buffet and restaurants was very poor and very very expensive. the best place to eat was Mcdonald's and I hate Mc donald's.Every time you turn around there is a timer share shark trying to get you to go to a presentation. Sadly my husband agreed to one so he could see Lance Burton. They save seats in the nose bleed section, where everyone was discussing how pitiful the hotel and the show was. For goodness sake we could see the trap doors but not any of the "magic" It was a horrible show. At other shows they provide TV screens for the balcony so they can see what is going on.Vegas is a vacation for idiots! The Monte Carlo hotel must be scheduled for tear down because they certainly do not care about their reputation! The restaurants are expensive, you are always running a gauntlet from "[*] card handlers" and time share sharks. It is worse than Mexico. the entire strip is filthy dirty, piled high with garbage. but I must admit the worst area was the properties owned by MGM and Monte Carlo.the worst part is that we were never informed of construction, I will never again trust Orbitz and I have managed to tell at least a hundred people and plan on telling many more of this rediculous fiasco. The original trip was Cancun and it took over 12 hours on the phone to reschedule due to the Swine flu scare. Orbitz will never see a dime of my money again.

Never Again at Monte Carlo

I loved the spa suite - jacuzzi in my bedroom. Big shower. Clean room. Great buffet and staff gave us coupons for buffet, steakhouse, pub. Bad points - a few days I got woken up very early by a hammering noise. Found out they were working on my floor and when I asked if they could do anything, they offered to move me. I wanted $ off my room. The next person said he would give me Sunday night free. I thought the whole night, turns out only the $50 upgrade to the suite was free, not the whole night, b/c I booked with orbitz. They charged me $50 extra for spa suite room, but the first night they had the nerve to charge me $125 extra b/c they claim it was busy. [*]. It was 11:00 p.m. at that when I checked in. Then I asked the concierge to get me the number of the bus service I got tickets from the internet to take me to and from hotel to airport and the idiot orders the bus for the next day. I had all of my luggage in front of me and just checked out. What was I going to walk around with my luggage for the whole day and night. When my bus was late, I found the ticket with phone number on it and called asking them where bus was. They said conceirge told them it was for the next day. I almost missed my flight b/c the concierge at the help desk. Some help he was. Then there was suppose to be happy hour on drinks and appetizers in the pub right next to the pool. The bartender had a lil problem with me taking the drinks to go outside for half price b/c they had poolside drinks for full price at the pool bar and mini bar by the pool. I specifically asked her the drinks in here r half and she said yea. She charged me full price $7.50 for a blow job shot and half on the drinks. I was suppose to get the appetizer half price but she charged me full price. They are the worst. Then they were doing construction on building next to ours and all around the pool so there were scaffolds blocking the sun. I couldn't get any tan while i was on vacation. I think I even got lighter sitting by the pool. Then the life guard is tryin to kick it to my man while he's in the pool. She keeps giving him the f--- me eyes right in front of my face just waiting to get a beat-down. Only reason I didn't was b/c I already pd. for the rooms and wasn't tryin to be hotelless for the rest of my trip. Nex time I'll stay somewhere else for a little bit more money. I'm sure the lifeguards there won't be hoodrat skanks.

We did not get adjoining rooms as requested nor did we get a non smoking room as requested. When we got to our rooms, the beds were missing comforters and smelled of fresh some which no one in my party smokes. My neighbors were noisy.
