"Unpretentiously luxurious" is the catchphrase used by Monte Carlo Resort and Casino, and it definitely holds true. This Las Vegas hotel pays homage to one of Europe's most lavish sites, but its new restaurants, bars, entertainers and penthouse-level boutique HOTEL32 mean you can use the words "opulent" and "swanky" in the same breath. The time spend at the monte carlo was average for our stay, we expected more. We thought it'd be more fancy and luxurious and would offer more. We didn't even have wifi in the room- we had to have a wired connection. Our shower head looked like it was from the 1920s and there was no fan in our bathroom. Not to mention to walls were paper thin and we could hear every movement of those around us. Overall, we were not dissatisfied, but would have liked more.

The Monte Carlo is impressive upon first look until you walk about and see the other hotels. We thought the buffet was good until we ate at the Cosmo's Wicked Spoon. The internet is run via cable in the room- I had to lie on the floor to check my email as the cord was too short to reach the desk. Yes there was some peeling wall paper and a few holes in the wall where artwork had been rehung. The bed was very comfy though and the pool and the tram service is the big plus for this hotel. CVS is right next door which is great for tanning lotion and beer. There is a Starbucks and a few fast food places inside the lobby as well.

The Birthday Girl 430
Great Value For the Money
I was in Las Vegas for a girls trip to celebrate my birthday. The Monte Carlo is a good, not great hotel. You can definitely tell that it is a bit dated compared to some of the other slick hotels on the strip. However, that said it is a great value. The hotel is located on the northern end of the strip but fortunately, there is a tram that connects this hotel to three others that will place you closer to the center of things. Because the property is owned by MGM Resorts, your room key gives you access to ammenities at their other properties such as Aria and the Bellagio. All in all, I would defintely recommend a stay at the Monte Carlo.

I took my husband to Las Vegas for his 37th birthday! We decided to stay at Monte Carlo since we had never stayed there before when we have visited "Sin City." We really enjoyed the hotel's restaurants and casino. Its location was also fantastic! Needless to say, we enjoyed our trip immensely!

Great experience! I would recommend but...
The Monte Carlo was a great stay and located in a good place on the Vegas strip. The pool was awesome! It had a great lazy river, wave pool, swimming pool and large hot tub. The casino is kinda small, but very nice. The restaurant "Brand" is awesome and I would highly recommend it if you don't want to go out. The room was average. Not great, not bad. It was a great place to sleep...not hang out in. The shower head removed layers of skin...and could take paint of a car in seconds. That was not fun. I would stay here again in a second if it is only to sleep and save money. We will be staying at Aria next time for something different, yet more expensive.
