Dining
- House of Blues
- Famed entertainment icon House of Blues is more often associated with music, but offers every bit as much soulful style in its restaurant. Highlighting soul-inspired, regional cuisine, entrees include Creole and Cajun staples such as jambalaya, gumbo and ettoufee, as well as Southern favorites like fried catfish, barbecued ribs, wood-fire pizza and Blues burgers. The renowned Sunday Gospel Brunch features the best in live Gospel performances and an all-you-can eat southern style buffet.
- rumjungle
- From the creators of China Grill, rumjungle is designed to take the art of food and entertainment to new levels. Guests entering rumjungle are treated to a dancing waterfall which transforms into a soothing wall of water. Volcanic mountains of rum and spirits rise up from an illuminated bar. Cooked over a giant fire pit that serves as a backdrop for a pulsating dance floor framed by "dueling congas," many entrees from the tropically- inspired menu are served on flaming skewers Rodizio style. Add an incredible list of exotic drinks and dancing to Latin, Caribbean and African beats until the wee hours of the morning and you have rumjungle.
- StripSteak
- Mandalay Bay is proud to welcome acclaimed chef Michael Mina's latest trendy, hip, fun dining venture StripSteak. Located where the former 3950 restaurant resided, this refreshing new approach to the upscale steakhouse includes a stylish bar that makes StripSteak the quintessential place to eat, mingle, and enjoy the classic cocktail experience.
- Wolfgang Puck's Trattoria del Lupo
- Wolfgang Puck's Italian bistro, Trattoria del Lupo, features Italian classics with traditional and contemporary influences, and served in an airy, cafe-like setting. Chef Mark Ferguson creates a relaxed, "Tuscan meets Sicilian" atmosphere for guests, starting with arugula salad "tre colore" with endive, ricotta and pine nuts. The menu features an array of fresh seafood, pasta featuring Wolfgang's lasagna with beef, veal and ricotta and gourmet pizzas, from braised lamb ossobuco with pears, gorgonzola and watercress to chicken scaloppini with wild mushrooms and marsala florio. Private dining is available.
- Red White and Blue
- This innovative restaurant experience combines three American dining selections. Red offers regional American cuisine featuring an Oyster Bar complete with market fresh jumbo shrimp, Oysters and Maine lobster. White offers croissants, muffins and Danish, a distinct selection of fine coffees and delicious desserts to finish lunch or dinner. Blue offers outdoor/indoor dining serving casual breakfast, lunch and dinner daily.
- Red Square
- This Russian themed restaurant and nightspot is one of the coolest places in town. Famous for its private vodka lockers, frozen ice bar, and a selection of more than 100 frozen vodkas and infusions, martinis and Russian-inspired cocktails. Dining selections include an extensive caviar list and a critically acclaimed menu of updated Russian classics and perestroika-inspired continental, French, Italian and American specialties. LOVED our room
This is BY FAR the best hotel we have stayed in. This was our 4th trip to Vegas and every time my husband and i come we splurge a little bit and get a suite. We stayed in the 750 great room suite. The bed was amazingly comfortable, the room itself was very spacious and had a nice modern decor. The bathroom was the perfect size for the 2 of us to get ready and not feel like we were on top of each other like in other hotel bathrooms. The staff was very friendly and housekeeping came and restocked our toiletries and provided fresh towels. This room was absolutely worth the price and we will be back!

Don't use the bus unless your going somewhere the free tram train won't take you. It takes you all the way to MGM so your right by the strip.

...best value in Vegas!
This is our 3rd visit to Vegas and each time we try to upgraded to a better Hotel. Mandaly Bay was, 'all that and a wing dinner!' We upgraded to Suite and enjoyed the big tub every morning before starting out for the day. If not for Spirit Airlines 4 hour delay each way- it would have been a prefect get-away. Sadly, they tainted a fantastic experience which sadly will not equate to a return anytime soon; perhaps ever. Sincerely/ Zach

...get used to the Mono Rails...Upon my previous trips, we found a quant little Strip Bus that traveled all up n down the strip for most of the day and cost $5 bucks. I assuem that they have gotten rid of the Casino to Casino bus and force you to use the Mono Rail or Street Bus. This little hopper bus was the best value in Vegas- and now its gone. Not impressed this time aroung and machines are tight!

Self-Parking is in the back. Do not waste time going in the front. It will take you 10 minutes to exit and then find the back.. Signs are few and confusing. They also charge an EXTRA "RESORT FEE".

I had picked a non-smoking room but yet the bathroom smelled like smoke and there was a cigarette burn on the covers, but house keeping took care of it in no time. All in all it was a great stay for our first time in Vegas

Resort?? What do you get for extra $25/day?
This was our 5th vacation to Las Vegas. This was the 2nd time we decided to stay at Mandalay Bay. Our vacation did not get off to a great start due to the airline we flew. We were supposed to arrive in Vegas at 9am. It was 5:30pm by the time we arrived in town. The front desk sensed our frustration and were generous and gave us 2 days of spa access. The room was very spacious. The only fridge in the room was stocked "mini bar" items. If you wanted to bring your own drinks/water to keep cool you are out of luck. The temperature in the room was not that comfortable. We set the room to 60 degrees and it still felt slightly warm. The front desk said that nothing was wrong. After eating breakfast and relaxing by the pool until 2pm we came back to the hotel room. Housekeeping had not visited the room. When we called the front desk and asked if housekeeping had been up yet, they said that they "don't clean the room everyday" The hotel has signs saying that they conserve water by only replacing linens/towels every 3 days or as needed (great idea to conserve water). However, even after we requested fresh towels (mishap with a soft drink spill) we did not receive them. The room has very thin walls. We were on the 24th floor, however we could hear the boom-boom-boom of the band that was playing in the lounge. Being near the airport you could hear the constant sounds of planes taking off and landing. The location of the hotel has pros and cons. Pro: away from the drunk crowds, street vendors, traffic, crowds, etc. It has easy access if you are driving/renting a car. The self park garage has easy access to the surrounding areas (self parking is free) Cons: you must walk a LONG way to other areas of the strip. There is a tram that will take you further down that is free. However, it shuts down after 10:30pm. Upon checkout we had a few "surprises". First the "comp" for the spa access did not show up on the bill. It took 15 minutes to finally sort out the charge and have refunded. Next we were told we still had to pay a $25/day "RESORT FEE"! When we asked what the fee was for, they really could not give us a solid answer beyond "It's a fee that is charged because we are a resort" After another 10 minutes of trying to understand what this $25 provided us, we still did not have an answer. We were told that we had to pay and there was nothing the hotel could do. Overall the stay was o.k. I guess I was expecting a little more. I still fail to see the value of a $25/day resort fee. For that extra amount I would expect to have extra amenities (i.e., free paper, a fridge, free bottle water, etc.) Instead you get none of those, no fresh towels, room cleaning only AFTER you request, and not even a mint on the pillow after that. We will look elsewhere on our next trip to Vegas.
