Technical issues and security problems
The TV in the room did not work 1 day out of four. Maintenance person came about 10 hours after call. The WiFi did not work two days out of four and it took two days to get someone's attention. Remember it cost $25 per day to have a WiFi. Security in the pool area was barely present. No drunk people ever were stopped from bad behavior. Security person at front desk refused to except complain and sed us to look for pool management next day. Soap and Shampoo racioned like during war times. Other then above everything was O.K.

Great Base
A fantastic hotel. The only thing that really let it down was the extremely long check in process. Once in, the hotel is an absolute joy. You could spend the entire week without even leaving the hotel and you would not be disappointed.

Drinks are free whilst gambling. So put 10 dollars in a machine, play really slowly and drink as much as you like for free (although you will be waiting a while if you don't tip your waitress!).

Nightlife tip:

If you are thinking about pool parties, the lockers for your personal items are very expensive. Please consider bringing a water proof wallet or small waterproof item to avoid trusting others to look over your stuff. Also, drinking in the casino is free as long as you gamble!

pretty good price for what you get
The room was pretty fancy and clean. There was a safe but no fridge. The check in line took about 50 minutes, which I thought was a little outrageous... They should figure out a better way to do that. Hotel is ginormous so it takes a while to get to/find your room. I'd recommend asking someone for directions to get to Las Vegas Blvd from inside the hotel rather than walkin to tropicana and then having to walk over to Las Vegas blvd. I didn't check out the pool or gym since I was visiting a friend who was working at another hotel. Note: my friend and I were woken up a couple of times by noisy guests who were trying to get into their room which was right next to ours, but once they were in the rooms it was fine.
