Disappointed

The Luxor was a real disappointment, I've always wanted to try it out in the 17 plus years I have been travelling to Vegas and now I know that I will never want to stay there again. I was woken up the first morning at 8:30am when it sounded like somebody was drilling through my ceiling, they were doing construction on the floor above. You have to pay $25 to use their fitness center? What hotel charges to use a work out facility? Unbelievable. Overall, it seemed like every staff member that I encountered was unpleasant. There was one bell hop that carried our bags, that was polite. I thought the pool was very nice, those are the only two positives I took from that stay. I even won money gambling at the Luxor and will STILL never go back there.

Fake

Very sad to say that this hotel is very dirty, the carpets are stained and very dirty, and the floor too. It was like they had not cleaned floor for years. Restrooms walls were full of grime. We get to Luxor late at night but even if we were sleepy, we realised that the room was dirty. We called the reception and half hour later they came to change sheets (yellow instead of white!). It was very funny because these women tried to find blank ones but it was very hard. We've stayed two nights so I thought to leave a note to housekeeping so that they they would have cleaned the room... but I failed. We've also asked for a working hair dryer because one in the room was broken. All things considered, a bad experience.

Unsatisfied First Time

My experience staying at the Luxor hotel was not a good one. It started out with over an hour standing in line waiting to check-in. Then to add insult to injury, my fianc?' was blown off by someone from the concierge service then we realized that had been given the wrong room!! We were told that our luggage wouldn't be moved to the room by the concierge service. So reluctantly we did and waited for another hour and they still didn?t show up!!! So me and my fianc?' hauled our entire luggage from the wrong room in the pyramids to the room in the towers. It get's better, after hauling all the luggage from the pyramids to the towers after getting to 11th floor to find the room after searching we found that the young lady a the front desk had sent us to the wrong tower!!!!!! So we hauled the luggage back down and then back up to the right tower and then found the right room!! So the customer service staff wasn't very helpful and it really didn?t seem like it bothered them!!! So by me being a writer and an affiliate of a major magazine, I think I'll let the rest the world know about my wonderful experience and the Luxor!!!!!!!!!!

The Worst TIme Of My Life In Vegas!

First of all, the flight was terrible -- We finally landed found our luggage and caught the shuttle to the Luxor. Service was terrible (should of known it would wof been down hill since then). The room as on the 3rd floor in the Inclinator which they conveniently forgot to let me know construction was going on and that there was no one (guest) on my floor and that I had to walk past 70 rooms to get back and forth to the elevator. The carpet was stained so bad it could not of been used for an outdoor carpet, the bedspreads if that is what you call them were terrible, sheets had spots all over and on top of that the room had bugs. Was put in handicapped room with closets too small to even put luggage in. Could notshower, the tub had a permanent handicap seat in it. I spent more time up than relaxing which was not good b/c it made me spend my money faster than expected.

Bring You Own

Bring your own hand towels for this trip. Two out of the three nights we stayed, we had to call housekeeping for towels. Also, bring your own ear plugs so you don't hear noise outside of your room. There was no remote control for the tv upon checkin. The air conditioner didn't give comfort, with it being set on high, coldest. The fan in the bathroom eventually made you feel that you had been to a rock concert for about three days. It was very loud. Most of the staff were friendly, however there were a few that were just rude and had no business being in the customer service industry.

My review of Luxor Hotel

We were very unhappy with the stay due to the noise coming from outside the door. one room had the shower room plugged (was not draining properly). we changed room for an extra $20 a night and the shower head was too hard that we couldn't take a shower but it was fine with the other room. we got waken up 3 times by the cleaners and got a phone call early in the morning due to our tub was leaking through down below us. over all we were very unhappy and i came to stay here before and i was happy but this time was very bad that i don't think i'll be coming back to luxor and wouldn't recommend it to my friends. we were paying extra for a better room and got worst than the first.

never again

we were put in a filthy room staring out at a cement pole! next to the loudest person we had very little sleep, complained 2-3 times. Nothing happened, the noise in their room sounded like it was in our room there must be no soundproofing at all.Anyway this hotel is way too far away from shopping and middle of the strip, we spent a fortune on cabs!!

Think Twice

On Sunday, August 24, 2008 I checked in at the Luxor and was assigned to room 2117. To my dismay, as soon as you stepped off of elevator the halls smelled like mildew, the elevator indicator lights that are red and green had dust so thick on them that you could right in it. The actual room was HORRENDOUS. 1) In the bathroom, the shower had mole in it and the handle on the shower door was broken as well as the handle on the door. 2) The carpet was filthy. 3) The drapes had water stains all over them. 4) Then there was wallpaper that was stapled to the wall and behind the wall paper was mold. 5) The cabinet that held the TV had damage on the bottom on both sides. 6) On the back of the entering door it appeared not to have been wiped down in months. We were then moved to room 9230. The shower had a little bit of mold in it. But the biggest problem was that the jets in the tube appeared to be filled with mold. Housekeeping did try to rectify the problem but the jets needed more than bleach spray in them. We were moved to room 15236 and this one was more acceptable but we the extra pillow that was in the closet had dried up blood on the case. This experience has been very frustrating.

room very dark

The most uncomfortable was the fact that the lighting was sooooooooooooooooo POOR.. and there was not even a Full lengrth mirror.. The only mirror was a Four Square ones that were on the TV Closets 4 Doors.. when you are getting dressed up you want to have good lighting and a full length mirror not one that cuts you off in the middle... SO NO I and my roommate were NOT very happy... I will be calling the Hotel next week about my stay..........
