Mother's Day Getaway
This was a Girls Getaway weekend. We asked for a free upgrade and they gave us a East Tower Room! The room was very nice. Our clock didn't work but Housekeeping was outside the door and quickly fixed it. There is no coffee maker, or fridge in room. For a $20 dollar a day resort fee they should at least have a coffee maker or bottle water! I have stayed in Vegas many times and if you don't want to pay $4 for a bottle of water go to CVS on the strip and buy a case. The pool was o.k. Monday they only had one pool open!! They said it was spring Hours then said it was Maintance issue..... I talked to a manager and they gave us a dinner buffet. The hotel staff was very friendly. The hotel is at the far end of the strip so if you don't like walking this is not the hotel for you.

Great Location on the Strip. But That's it!!
The amenities were outdated. No coffee maker. Bathroom fan was loud and did not work. Air conditioner was old and loud (clanky sounds all day and night). Shower was moldy and filled with loose hairs. Towel rack was rusted. Shower door was missing towel bar. Shower doors swayed back and forth (were not anchored on the bottom. Closet/cabinet was old, creaky, and knobs were worn. Escavator in pyramid was loud, creaky, and scary!! When contacted the staff regarding the problems, they were very courteous, but could not do anything about the problems. Housekeeping came in and re-cleaned the shower, but hairs were still left behind. LAX nightclub was a bore and they allowed women to attend in gladiator shoes and flip flops. Not my idea of a "classy" nightclub. All I can say is that you get what you pay for, so if it's a cheap deal - you better expect cheap quality. Will NEVER stay here again, nor will I EVER recommend this place to stay!

Favorite Hotel in Vegas so far!
I've stayed at quite a few hotels on the strip (Excalibur, Circus Circus, Sahara, Paris, Planet Hollywood) and this one is my favorite thus far! The beds were SO comfortable and soft. The only thing that would make it better is if it were in the middle of the Strip, like the Paris Hotel. Other than that, the decor is awesome, the room was clean, and bigger than I expected. The service was really nice, the food was great, & you get free drink coupons on check in. I would stay here again, especially for the price. It's on the 'cheaper' end of Vegas hotels, but doesn't sacrifice quality.

Great weekend in Vegas
The rooms were extremely quiet. I never heard either neighbor make a sound and both rooms were occuppied. The room wasn't as clean as I would expect when I checked in. There was McDonalds sugar packets in the drawers of the dresser and the desk top had water stains and spots that should've been wiped up by the cleaning staff. Overall the experience was nice and I will definitely stay at The Luxor again.

Great experience!
The hotel was really, really cool! The staff was always nice and the theme was neat. The only bad thing I can say is it is a little older of the hotel and that is noticeable.

Disappointing
Interior from casino and restaurants to elevators and individual rooms need a new coat of paint and renovation. Bathroom door of my room was rotted, door frame needed paint as it was bare at wear spots, shower had mold on tile, air conditioner did not work so room was like a sauna. When I tried to contact customer service using their supplied phone number I instead got the accounts receivable department which was closed. As a last resort I tried to email them but the email came back due to full mailbox.... They just don't seem to care.

A fantastic value
I booked this based on an e-mail deal knowing little about the location or age of the facilities. All I can say is that, for the price, nobody in my party was the least bit disappointed. The room was very clean and the hotel is still connected to much of the south part of the strip. For the great rates I received, I would book here again in an instant.

Great Location
The hotel was amazing but I was unhappy about our room being in the tower as opposed to the pyramid. The location was awesome and made it easy to walk the strip. Best feature was the connecting bridges to the other hotels. Overall the staff was polite and helpful. I would recommend this hotel, great value for your money.

The Mummy's Curse
I have stayed at most properties in Vegas through the years. I won't stay at the Luxor again. You can't check in early and the check in person was Grumpy. I called down to the Bell hop Chad and he started yelling at me because I asked him how he was doing. He did not have time for small talk. The buffet their was awful. They were not booked up and I asked for a late check out so I could game into the night and shower later and they said if I paid for the room for another night they would let me check out in the afternoon instead of the morning. I had a free voucher for their night club LAX. They tried to charge me $30 to see it and said my voucher was only good to 12:00. It was 12:05 on my atomic watch as I was leaving because I was not willing to pay $30 to see the inside especially when I had a voucher. Also I was a guest and I had been waiting in line for 30 minutes prior. Service was very bad everywhere throughout.
