Room comfort
The room was clean and the bed and linens were wonderful. The only uncomfortable thing was our room was very warm. Our AC did not funtion as it should. The staff was very swift on moving us to a new room, however it was a pain packing everything up to move rooms in the middle of the evening. We suggest that the older AC's get upgraded to run like the rooms in the towers. Overall, we had a fantastic time!!!

consider everything before you book
I am a frequent Vegas traveler. Granted, I usually stay at the Mirage or Venetian on business however, when I travel with my family as I did this time (May 2013) for my 2 daughters' birthdays, I need something more affordable. The Luxor "Pryamid" rooms are old, hot and uncomfortable. I asked for a complementary upgrade for my girls to make their 21st birthday a little more special (considering I have stayed at Luxor 3 times in the past 2 years) and they reluctantly upgraded them to the Tower room. - only slightly newer, nothing special. You get what you pay for... Make sure you also consider the pool. The Luxor pool is by no means anything special. When you get there you find they charge extra (some days $25/ chair - some days only $15 per chair). If you want the "free" chairs, they put you way back on the corner away from the pool. Oh and you can't even sit or stand in the pool in front of the "pay chairs" ! I have heard of other hotels changing more for a "private area" but, this was for the regular pool! On top of that, it was the middle of May and they didn't even have all of the pool area open! I suggest you think about these little extras that some of the nicer hotels don't charge for but, they build it into their price. At least you don't have the surprise of finding out when you get there.

Short walk from hotel
Hotels are loaded with people soliciting patrons to attend a time share presentation for free tickets to shows. Unless you want to kill a few hours or buy a time share, stay clear. We had a very pleasant young lady sales person and the entire day was good.

Great Place
I have always wanted to stay at the Luxor because the price is great for a 4 star. I usually stay at the MGM, but this time i tried this hotel. The staff at the Luxor are really nice people. The room are not as big as other places, but they are clean for sure. The Luxor its just a super clean place lets just put it that way. The staff was super friendly answering all of our questions. The valet parking people are always giving you directions (thats kool). There is also a good nightclub at the Luxor (LAX). I really recommend the Luxor to anybody who is not trying to spend a lot of money in a room, but still get all the good stuff of a pricey resort. This is a great place to stay.

Enjoyed the atmoshpere
It would be nice if happy hour drinks applied to everyone in the restaurant and not just the bar area (at Public House). Wireless internet would be a better option then wired in. Enjoyed the free tram. Pool area was decent.
