Too much repair needed
The staff was very nice, but our room needed repair, It had frayed carpet, broken and corroded tile in the bathroom. We didn't have wireless in our tower and had to call for an ethernet cable. The remote control had to be replaced twice. They interrupted our Friday evening to install a safe in our room complete with power drills. Don't care what they give me, never going back.

Disappointed in how the Luxor has gone downhill
I have stayed at the Luxor many times previously. I have always had good experiences but had not been to Las Vegas in a while. We went there for my 50th birthday celebration. I was disappointed that we booked the spa room and did not find out till after we checked in and I was walking away from the desk that the person who checked me in said oh the jets on the spas no longer work. Why call it a spa room then? We got to the room and additional seating room in the spa room plan was empty of furniture except for 2 luggage holders. Where there should have been a couch or a few chairs was a large open space for you to stand and look at the wonder or to stand and look back at the TV. There were also several outlets to punctuate that tables with lamps should have gone there. The furniture was pretty badly nicked up (though I could give a pass on that the other items above were not forgivable). The buffet (More Buffet) we tried out. The old Pharaohs Pheast used to be a great bargain and good food. The new buffet was poor in choices, bland and dry. Nothing at all redeeming about the buffet and left us unwilling to try any of their other restaurants based on that experience. Up to this time I would have suggested the Luxor to anyone. After this trip I cannot see them bringing it back to the way it used to be anytime soon. Would urge you to choose another resort instead.

Disappointing place to stay
We chose this hotel because of its location and thought it was a safe bet due to its four star rating. Sadly it should not have been rated two stars. The carpeting was stained throughout the entire hotel. Our room smelled like a mixture of vomit and alcohol. I will never go back.

Vegas Vacation
Great for people who want to stay on the strip without having to pay for higher priced hotel rooms. Reasonable fare. Very close to the airport. The only downside of location is that most of the things that we did on vacation involved cab fare to get to the center of the strip or any other points on our itinerary.
