Vacation

Our room was not ready when we arrived so we had to wait about half an hour so it was close to 5 when we got to it. It was on the 2nd floor and you had about 11 stairs to pull your suitcase up to get to it. Once there all was ok. You are close to the strip and the staff was very friendly. Will stay there again but prefer a higher floor.

Great location, average hotel

Location is everything about this hotel. If you want low-cost place to crash at the end of the day, it can't be beaten. The room is good and very convenient. The downside(s): very hard to locate, very weird building plan - I actually got lost on the way to my room..., and the grocery store is extremely - and I do mean extremely - expensive.

My only hesitation and recommending this hotel, is that more people would use it making it harder for me to get a reservation. The location was perfect the staff was awesome and we will be staying there exclusively from here on out.

Wow

A bit confusing trying to get from the parking lot at the Cosmopolitan hotel, level B3, elevators not well marked, but we made it. Joanne at the front desk put us in a Penthouse Suite (top floor) facing the Bellagio fountain water show. Wow! Floor to ceiling windows, super clean room, comfy bed. I was super impressed. We got a great deal about a third of all the other rooms on the strip on Memorial day weekend and right in the middle of the action. Free popcorn at the hospitality desk! Water in the faucet tastes weird, bring your own. Otherwise a perfect experience!

Dining tip: Long walk from hotel

For a cheap breakfast, head to Ellis Island Cafe behind Bally's. They have parking or it is a long 2 block walk (big vegas blocks). Pancakes were great $3.99, skip the french toast. I also liked the breakfast sandwich $4.99. Much different than the $100 tapas in Cosmopolitan.

Pleasantly Surprised

We were just stopping on our way to San Diego and needed a place to stay. We didn't want to spend too much but still wanted to be near the strip. The hotel is kind of a pain to find because it's set back between City Center and the Bellagio and the parking situation isn't the best but the hotel was awesome. The rooms were perfect and the staff was very friendly. The location on the strip was great too. I will definitely be back to stay here.

Great Location

The Jockey Club is deceptively nice. It's extremely easy to miss, as The Cosmopolitan is built around it. But once found, the rooms are spacious. If you are lucky enough to get a room with a view, you'll be a happy camper! I just was there this past Cinco De Mayo weekend (which was the same weekend as the Mayweather-Cotto fight). We had a view overlooking the Bellagio fountain. Very nice view. Room was comfy. Only downside was the optional timeshare presentation. We should have skipped it. The gifts weren't all that great.

Lack Luster

The Ad on [...] showed the hotel as not having a smoke free policy, unfortunately that's not true as the State of Nevada will not allow smoking rooms bec ause of theit poor ventelation system. There are continual tours by sales people trying to sell time share packets. There is on going construction by the New City Center comlex and the entrance road is very difficult to access. Taxi Cabs refused to come to the Hotel and wait could be up to an hour. [...] listed it as 4 stars I'd give it a half-star.

Dining tip: Not Applicable

Bring your own food....there is no restaurant and the "Gift" shop in the Lobby is terribly overpriced especially for essentials like milk or sandwiches.
